US toy manufacturer Jakks Pacific has announced a partnership with SEGA and Paramount Pictures to produce official Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Movie merchandise. This is a global toy rights partnership that covers practically everything from “action figures, playsets, vehicles, plush toys, collectibles” to even Halloween costumes.

Funko has given us our first look at what they have in store for Sonic’s anniversary next year: new Silver and classic Sonic figurines. The regular versions of these figurines will be available exclusively at FYE for $12 each. Meanwhile, special editions of these figures are exclusive to two other retailers: the “flocked” (or fuzzy) version of Classic Sonic will be sold exclusively at Funko’s own online store, while the Glow in the Dark version of Silver will only be found at Hot Topic.
According to the 30th anniversary merchandise announcement last week, we have much more, including a Tails figure, in store.

Even though we still haven’t heard much in the way of #Sonic2020 announcements, SEGA’s Japanese Sonic team has managed to keep its ‘Sonic Station Live’ shows ticking. The next broadcast is scheduled for August 28th. We should expect some new goods and music-based merchandise, at the very least. If you’ve been wanting merch of Super Tails and Super Silver, you’ll finally be getting what you want next month…so long as you don’t mind them having black, soulless eyes. I am, of course, talking about Funko POPS. The company announced both figures as part of their line of SDCC 2020 exclusives, which will now be released at select retailers due to the event’s cancellation. They will be sold together, as a 2-pack.

A few days ago, Eaglemoss announced that they would be revealing three new figures in their Sonic line over the next few weeks. They have now shown the first of these three on their Facebook page: Super Sonic. Check it out below!

First4Figures’ latest Sonic PVC statue, which was first teased back in March, finally has a teaser trailer and pre-order date. The statue will be made available for pre-order on December 13 at 9 AM EST, during a F4F livestream. The trailer, posted below, gives us our first look at the colored version of the statue. JAKKS Pacific, the children’s toy company behind such toy lines such as WWE and World of Nintendo action figures, have today announced that it has commenced a global toy licensing deal with SEGA of America to produce Sonic the Hedgehog branded toys in a multi-year contract.

Wayô Records revealed on their Instagram page earlier today that they would be making a new set of 12” vinyl records featuring 19 tracks from Sonic Forces, including the game’s theme song, Fist Bump.
The vinyl is set to be made available for pre-order here on June 23 and will begin shipping to customers sometime in July. Check out the complete list of tracks, as well as a gallery showing off the record, below:

Start saving your pocket money, as board game purveyors Shinobi 7 LLC will soon be launching their Kickstarter campaign for their newest board game Sonic the Hedgehog: Battle Racers! The product is advertised as a strategic board game designed for 2-5 players, in which each participant takes on the role of one of multiple Sonic the hedgehog characters represented by a set of fantastic, size-scaled figurines.
Shinobi 7 plan to launch their Kickstarter campaign this month, offering up exclusive and Limited-Edition items to those who pledge their support. A retail edition of the game will be available later in the year through Diamond/Alliance.
The description of the game on the Shinobi7 site is as follows:
“Burst into action with Sonic the Hedgehog: Battle Racers! Select your racer, choose your route, and fight your way to the finish while avoiding opposing racers and a variety of dangerous obstacles. Control your speed, use your abilities, and activate your special powers to collect as many rings as you can in an amazing race.
Based on Sonic the Hedgehog, the world-wide phenomenon, Sonic the Hedgehog: Battle Racers allows you to take on the role of Sonic or one of his many friends and rivals in a strategic race through a variety of exciting locations. The course changes with every race, so no two games are alike!”

The base set of the game comes complete with five figurines of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Eggman, along with all neccesary parts to play the game
3 “Boss packs”, themed around Infinite, Metal Sonic, and Shadow, include a new character figurine along with new playing tiles and parts to expand the game
12 additional character expansion packs (Big, Blaze, Charmy, Cream, E-123 Omega, Espio, Jet, Rouge, Silver, Sticks, Vector, and Wave) will be available, with each character bringing new elements of gameplay to spice up the base set’s play
