August’s Sonic 2020 Livestream Promises New Merchandise and Compilation Album

Even though we still haven’t heard much in the way of #Sonic2020 announcements, SEGA’s Japanese Sonic team has managed to keep its ‘Sonic Station Live’ shows ticking. The next broadcast is scheduled for August 28th. We should expect some new goods and music-based merchandise, at the very least.

According to its latest announcement on Twitter, the Sonic Station Live #7 show will feature “announcements”, alongside news of a new compilation album and the latest merchandise. SEGA Japan has a history of producing amazing goods in collaboration with other brands, so we’re interested to see what comes of this.

Besides that, don’t expect any major earth-shattering news. Although the tweet does tease a “new section” to the show, it’s possible that this will be more along the lines of its standard ‘mailbox’ feature where the hosts respond to fan questions.

The show will be fronted by Sonic sound director Jun Senoue and Sonic art director Kazuyuki Hoshino, as with previous episodes. The broadcast will air at 8pm JST (which is 12:00 midday in the UK). Catch the stream below.
