This was borderline Freak-Out Friday material… But hey, why not start our week off with this?
Like a bad joke, Arique decided to combine the infamous Carnival Night Zone’s music with the hypnotic Afro Circus by Marty, the zebra of Madagascar fame.
The result? This addicting mash-up!

Okay, now remove Carnival Night from the equation, and replace it with Oil Desert.

As if the world hasn’t seen enough Michael Jackson/Sonic mash-ups, Hyper-Shan of the SSMB decided to combine one of the King’s tracks with something a little more recent than most combinations.
Thus, fusing Sky Fortress Acts 2 and 3 of Sonic 4: Episode II with They Don’t Care About Us, this mash-up was born!

On that note, happy birthday to Shan as well! Have a good one!

Yes, this week, we’ll be looking into mash-ups involving the music of the one and only Hideki Naganuma! We got a total of five mash-ups to celebrate his work!
First up is a mash-up by Seenik09, comprised of Naganuma’s Teknopathic from Jet Set Radio Future and something I’m sure you allmissdearly.

With Sonic the Hedgehog and Megaman set to cross over throughout the upcoming year, thanks to Archie Comics, it’s about time some music has been mashed together, wouldn’t you all say?
For the most mega occasion of Mash-Up Monday, Dr. Wily sends one of his Robot Masters to take over one of Dr. Eggman’s airships!
Flash Man’s stage from Megaman 2 with Flying Battery Zone from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, everyone!

Need something fast-paced, intense, and outright crazy to start your long and dreary week? Well, we got just what you need right here on Mash-Up Monday! But, first things first…
How many of you have ever heard of Touhou?
Specifically known as Touhou Project, it is a bullet hell shooter series renowned for its high difficulty, a large cast of characters, and most of all, its crazy music! …no. Seriously. Look some of its music up on YouTube. You will not regret it.
This week, we will feature one of the most synonymous remixes of the series, Night of Nights, combined with a song sporting a much more orchestral touch, yet recognized for being fast-paced and blood-pumping: Crisis City Act 2 from Sonic Generations!

It’s that time again, guys! Put on those headphones and crank up that volume as we kick the week off with Mash-Up Monday!
Today, we highlight a very unique mash-up, put together by the likes of Shadowlink4321, who’s renowned for both machinimation and music on YouTube. The two mash-ups featured today are both from the same pair of songs!
Those who follow the works of Bentley Jones just might recognize one of the two songs! He has covered one of the opening themes to the anime Shakugan no Shana, named Joint, on his “TRANS//LATION 2” album. Presented in its original form, Joint is thrown together with Sonic and the Black Knight‘s final boss theme: With Me.
However, there’s a catch! As I’ve mentioned, there are two mash-ups here… And that’s exactly it! The first version of Joint With Me is in fact With Me‘s vocals added to Joint‘s melody, and the second version (found after the jump!) highlights Joint‘s vocals (in Japanese) through With Me‘s background music!

Likely the Mash-Up Monday to end all Mash-Up Mondays (METAPHOR. Do not take this seriously!), we’ve got a real sexy piece of ear candy for you all!
Possibly one of the greatest RPGs available on the Nintendo DS, Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story brought about one of the most chaotic final showdowns ever experienced in the Mario series. In fact, it shares quite a few similarities with that of Sonic the Hedgehog 2‘s Death Egg Robot.
For one, both battles take place in an isolated area on top of the world: one being on a tower atop Peach’s Castle, another being in the colossal Death Egg orbiting the planet.
Secondly, being final showdowns, the fate of the world rests on the heroes’ shoulders. Sonic chases Eggman through emerald hills and metropolises to thwart his dastardly efforts of taking over the world for the second time, without the bare essentials to keep him alive for longs (rings); Bowser, with the intention of ruling the Mushroom Kingdom in the future, takes on a Dark Star-created, destruction craving clone of himself in a battle of the titans, while Mario and Luigi destroy Fawful and the Dark Star Core from inside Bowser’s body. All sorts of chaos is happening in both scenarios.
And three, with final bosses comes FANTASTIC BACKGROUND MUSIC.
Hence, I am happy to share with you all the most glorious mash-up to hit TSS. Combining the final boss themes from Bowser’s Inside Story and Sonic 2 (with a little bit of Super Mario Galaxy on the side), we present to you:
“Bowser vs Robotnik”!
“SHOWTIME!”

A little over a month ago, another music legend has passed.
MCA (aka Adam Yauch), a member the renowned hip hop trio known as the Beastie Boys, lost his life to cancer on May 4th. He died at the age of 47.
You might recall Alien/Renegade, one of many musicians who contributed to The Sonic Stadium Music Album. For Mash-Up Monday, he has prepared a trio of mixes consisting of music from the Beastie Boys, all of which being featured here today.
We present to you “An Open Letter to Rusty Ruins”, “Wacky Body Movin”, and “Here’s a Little Final Haunt for Ya”. Enjoy!

Courtesy of KatamariParadox, this week’s Mash-Up Monday will feature a four-way mash of all known versions of City Escape’s “Escape from the City”: the original, the instrumental, the Classic, and the Modern!
Thankfully, it isn’t just all four sprawled across one another. Bits and pieces of each iteration of the track contribute to a complete piece!

Alighty, kidding aside, welcome to a very special Mash-Up Monday, everybody! We’ve got quite a unique haul for you today, though readers bearing unstable souls are recommended not to subject themselves to the following mash-ups. That’s right, we’re going down to Bikini Bottom, to the absorbent, yellow and porous sponge living under the sea, for this week’s Mash-Up Monday! “Jellyfish Jam” from Spongebob Squarepants combines with Speed Highway Act 1 from Sonic Generations.
I hope this makes up for what I’ve put you all through on Friday… but who am I kidding? I love torturing you guys every once in a while!

You’ve been tuning in to either the radio, or maybe a few albums lying around the house. A person seated next to you might have her music on full volume from their iPods. There’s no denying that Adele is definitely one of the most popular artists in recent history, and it shows: it is almost foolhardy to escape or even drown out her music these days. Just as on Saturday, we have a Sonic Colours-centric Mash-Up Monday as we bring you a very special guest, providing us a very special mash-up!
Some of you might recall the name DJ EAR. Whether it is for his musical contributions to The Sonic Stadium Music Album or the brawler fan game Super Sonic Knockout, this artist has a massive talent for music. One such display of his prowess is a mash-up compiling various tracks of Sonic Colours, highlighting every zone and then some, appropriately titled “Every Colour Has A Sound”.
You won’t have to guess which tracks in specific have been used; the songs used are listed on screen as they play. Very cool!

“Champion”, from the anime series Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, is thrown together with the four introductory Sonic levels from the Genesis era for this week’s Mash-Up Monday! I have to say, the mash-up does quite well in weaving Green Hill, Emerald Hill, Angel Island, and Palmtree Panic together. They all fit quite seamlessly!
Keep in mind that, although the song involved isn’t the case, the source material is very NSFW as it contains adult themes and the like. You were warned, readers!
Ladies and gents, “Green Panty Zone”!

This week’s Mash-Up Monday provides you with yet another Michael Jackson/Sonic mash-up… through an interesting combination that hasn’t even been tried until now! MJ’s “Thriller” meets Mystic Mansion from Sonic Heroes in “Michael’s Mansion”!
Quite fitting, I’d have to say! Makes sense considering the tropes of both songs!

Welcome to a very special edition of Mash-Up Monday! After last week’s magical mash-ups, we found something that’s bound to be a slam for all of you! I hope you’re ready, because this week’s mash-ups are simply jamming!
Just like its fellow songs that work with just about anything (LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem”, “Guile’s Theme” from Street Fighter, the theme to TheFresh Prince of Bel-Air), Quad City DJ’s “Space Jam” is another tune that mashes with just about any song. Sonic music is of no exception!
That being said, let’s boot up the SEGA Jamnesis and begin our journey in the shoes of Slamnic the Hedgehog and Miles “Jam” Prower! Slam-Up Jamday Act 1: the checkered emerald basketball court of Green Slam Zone!
“WELCOME TO THE JAM.”

This week’s Mash-Up Monday brings you a grand total of four mash-ups, all of which combining music under both Sonic the Hedgehog and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic franchises.
The first two mash-up the actual music from the show. Planet WinterWisp sees a lovely combination of Planet Wisp and Winter Wrap Up, while Escape from the Cutie sports the memorable City Escape theme alongside the delectable lyrics from Cupcakes.

Mashup Monday this week brings you what, from looking at Youtube, was apparently the logical conclusion with these two songs.
Warning: Swearing. Unfortunately – or fortunately, depending how you feel about it – these mashups use the uncensored version of the song. Never let it be said that we at TSS don’t care about your virgin ears!
