The first trailer to the upcoming movie Wreck-It Ralph has premiered today! Starring John C. Reilly in the titular role, Ralph is the antagonist of the (fictional) 8-bit arcade game Fix-it Felix! who grows tired of playing the bad guy.
Essentially a video game-based Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, the film cameos a wide array of gaming stars, such as Zangief and M. Bison from Street Fighter, the ghosts from Pacman, Bowser from the Super Mario franchise, and our very own Doctor Eggman, all of whom you will see in the trailer below.

The movie is set for theatrical release on November 2nd.

Sonic Wrecks has uploaded an alternate version of today’s Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed trailer that officially reveals what we told you back in January – that the game is coming to Wii U. Fast forward to the 01:30 mark at the end of the video and you can see the Wii U logo.
With this being the E3 trailer, hopefully we’ll see the Wii U version in action at SEGA’s E3 booth next week.

SEGA Europe has today released the European version of the recent Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 trailer. In it we get an update on the European release dates for the game, but unlike the US, we don’t get anything more solid than the month of May for the Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms. The PC, iOS and Tegra 3 compatible versions will also launch in May, with the Android/Google Play version following in June, and the Windows Phone 7 version made available later in July.
Eurogamer also reports that Sonic 4: Episode 2 will be priced at 1200 MSP on Xbox Live, £9.99 on PlayStation Network, and £12.99 for PC. No pricing info was given for the other versions, but we’ll pass on those details when they’re made available.

As stated yesterday, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 has been officially announced today over at GameSpot with a teaser trailer that reveals a new playable character. Unexpected though, an interview with Ken Balough came with it revealing more details about this episode. Balough says SEGA has listened to fan feedback from Episode 1 and in response they have added a new graphics engine, a new physics engine and fixed the uncurling.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 will be released in 2012 on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Nework, iOS, Windows Phone 7 and Android devices. Yes, it doesn’t appear to be coming to any Nintendo platforms, unfortunately.

The day everyone’s been waiting for is here. SEGA’s just posted their much anticipated trailer on the official Sonic Facebook page and it’s one that will please classic and modern Sonic fans alike. The trailer is for a new game that will launch in 2011 on Xbox 360 and PS3, but what the game is called is currently unknown. No gameplay footage is shown in the new video, but we do see plenty of CG animation of Sonic in both classic and modern forms running around what looks like Green Hill Zone from Sonic’s first outing on SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis. Could the rumours about old zones returning be true? We’ll keep tabs on this exciting new game and bring you new details as soon as they’re released.

A new trailer for Sonic Free Riders has just been released by SEGA Europe, this time focusing on the game’s various weapons. The trailer shows how to use these items with Kinect, such as the Octo-ink, which allows you to squirt ink at your opponent to obstruct their view, the Soda Rocket, which you shake until it bursts and gives you a speed boost and the Tee Shot, which sees you use a golf club to fire a golf ball at your opponents. Plenty of new footage from the various tracks in the game is also on show and we get to some hear a tiny bit of the new voice acting, too.

Just minutes ago, SEGA released a new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1‘s Mad Gear Zone, exclusively at GameSpot. As the zone’s name indicates, it is full of gears that Sonic can will need to run and ride on to get to new areas or to open doors with. The stage is very reminiscent of classic Sonic stages like Scrap Brain Zone and Metropolis Zone, full of elements that raised the difficulty for in those stages and look to do the same here too. The Shellcracker badniks also make a return. The trailer finishes with the U.S. release dates for all platforms, which match up with the ones IGN revealed the other day.

SEGA Europe has released the above new trailer for Sonic Colours. Not much that we haven’t already seen before is shown, but we do get a look at some more footage of the CGI cutscenes in the game, such as Sonic confronting Dr.Eggman.
Seven more facts about the game were also released, which you can read below:
• Contrary to the E3 build some of you may have played getting S-ranks are TOUGH. You’ll need to maximise your grabbing of bonuses whilst still maintaining your speed and maximising your ring count in order to gain them.
• Yacker doesn’t have a voice as such, but makes an audible chittering noise. He’s also big on body language communication – think Sonic: Night of the Werehog.
• Since you guys love the Tails facts so much… FOXY FACT: Tails is more interested in inventing than Sonic’s heroics.
• Sometimes bad situations can lead to good discoveries!
• You CAN skip cutscenes – press + on the wiimote.
• Dr. Eggman ALSO has something of a 4th wall breaking moment.
• The Wisps have a, rather rude nickname for Dr. Eggman!
That’s all for now, oh wait… one bonus item for you to deduce.
Sept 19th > Cowboys.
That’s all. 🙂

Joystiq has revealed a new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1‘s Casino Street Zone. The trailer shows new sections that see Sonic platforming across playing cards and also running across paths of them that appear in front of him one by one. These sections are presumably from Act 2 and replace the old build’s version of the Act, which was solely about score attacking on a pinball table, something that a lot of fans who saw the leaked build didn’t react well to.
Joystiq also released a preview of the zone along with the trailer. In the preview, Joystiq’s David Hinkle explains that this stage won’t be accomplished by just charging straight through the zone, there is more involved than that.
Sure, there are some Badniks sprinkled throughout, but navigating through the neon-lit gambler’s paradise poses several threats to Sonic. Not every situation can be conquered through brute force; it’s navigating the terrain and calculating the next step on the fly that got me through all three acts.
SEGA’s Ken Balough was also on hand to introduce the zone and spoke to Joystiq about balancing the number of enemies with the traps already set throughout the stage.
“When it came to each of these levels, we toyed with the idea of how many enemies would be overwhelming to the player. The enemies that we do have in it work really well for the Zone — like the enemies with the shields that Sonic kinda pings off of. Considering that there are a lot of other traps in the environment, those kind of things can really set the player off and kill them, but the fact that you might be running incredibly fast and hit one of the Badniks with the shields and it springs you back, it may end up throwing you back into a trap that you thought you had escaped from. So those ideas, we definitely wanted to toy with, but we wanted to achieve a balance, where the environmental mechanics stood out as much as the enemies so I think we struck a good equilibrium here, but, obviously, it’s up to the players to tell us what they think.”
Hinkle also talks about the cannons, which return from Sonic 3 and explains how the new playing card gimmick works and the bonuses it offers:
The aforementioned cannons play the biggest role in Casino Streets Zone and are gradually introduced throughout the prior Acts. It’s simple: Sonic hops into a cannon; you aim the cannon; and Sonic is blasted out. Rings indicate the best trajectories, but later on the game leaves it to you to make that call.
The benefit to finding these alternate pathways is obviously collecting more stuff, but throughout the level there are cards that Sonic can touch and flip around. The quicker you flip them, and the more of them you flip, gives Sonic a chance to match up cards. Get three Sonic heads and you’ve got yourself another life, for example. It’s only a matter of finding these pockets of cards and touching them.
Five screenshots of the zone were released too, which you can check out below:

SEGA has revealed a few new trailers via their Tokyo Game Show USTREAM account, where they will be streaming events at their booth live. The trailers are for Korohyo, Shining Hearts and Sonic Free Riders. The Sonic Free Riders trailer gives us our first footage of Rocky Ridge and a previously unseen shortcut or two in Dolphin Resort. Also shown is the co-op element that the games Xbox.com product page has listed since the games announcement. In this mode it appears that you can hold hands with another player and pull off some joint tricks on jumps, but unfortunately that’s all that is shown in regards to co-op for now. We also get to hear some new music for the game, which is just as catchy as we’ve come to expect from the Sonic Riders series.

A new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 has just been released by IGN. The trailer shows us gameplay footage of the recently revealed Lost Labyrinth Zone and the updates made to the game in action, such as the torch mechanic, faster acceleration and running animation. No solid release date yet (just a change from Late 2010 to Fall 2010), but downloadable games don’t usually get a release date until about two weeks before release. SEGA, in their last Sonic 4 update said we could expect more updates “early September,” and with this new trailer released, we expect they will be speaking more about the game sooner than expected. To accompany the trailer, IGN also posted a preview of the latest build.
