Step aside, Baby Yoda, because there’s a new cuteness in town! The latest teaser from the Sonic movie’s Japanese twitter account has given us our first glimpse at the long-rumored “baby Sonic.” The teaser features the little blue tike blasting through Green Hill as Sonic Mania’s opening theme, Hyper Potion’s Friends, plays in the background.

Geoff Keighley, host of the annual Game Awards show, teased in a livestream a few days ago that Sonic may be included in the show in some form when it airs tomorrow.
When asked whether or not the show would include any news regarding the franchise’s 30th anniversary, Keighley said that with the movie coming up they “may do something fun” with the character.

The first IDW Sonic mini-series is reaching its end with a real bang!
IDW has released its previews for this week with a finale to remember to round out the year. In Tangle and Whisper #4, it’s finally time for Whisper to take on her traitorous team mate Mimic. With Wisp Gun at her side, she’s ready to fight his fleet of Badniks. But it’s the help of Tangle being there to support her that she’ll need to fall back on if she wants a hope of confronting her past and taking out Mimic properly! This is “Showdown”.

SEGA has been releasing a slew of remixes of old Sonic tunes lately. Today, they graced us with a remix of Sonic 4’s Splash Hill Zone medley, composed by Tee Lopes and Jun Senoue.

First4Figures’ latest Sonic PVC statue, which was first teased back in March, finally has a teaser trailer and pre-order date. The statue will be made available for pre-order on December 13 at 9 AM EST, during a F4F livestream. The trailer, posted below, gives us our first look at the colored version of the statue. Sadly, Sonic’s handheld outings never got the attention they deserved, especially in the wake of the often more beloved 16-bit blockbusters on the Mega Drive.
