If you fancy watching some fanmade Sonic television on the Internet, then you won’t have long to wait for your latest fix. Fastfeet Media, producers of the popular online show “SEGASonic:TV”, have today announced that their fourth episode is due for launch on Friday 26th August.
“SEGASonic:TV” released its first episode in November 2004, and the gap between the third episode and this latest edition has been a gruelling six months for fans of the show. Today, SEGA Europe announced when the next three Sonic the Hedgehog titles are due for release in our continent.
The gun-toting Shadow the Hedgehog has been given a release date of 25th November, as has the blue blur’s DS debut, Sonic Rush, making for a bit of a Sonic day in Europe. For more information on Shadow the Hedgehog, click here and for all the latest on Sonic Rush simply click here.
As for when you may expect to play Sonic CD and Sonic the Fighters via Sonic Gems Collection, the new compilation will arrive in Europe at a much earlier date of 30th September. Read all about it here.
According to our sources, Sonic Gems Collection was just released today (17th August) in the US, with Shadow the Hedgehog also getting a November release and Sonic Rush a tentative ‘Fall 05’ slate across the pond. Let us know what you think of Gems in the comments.

Sega this morning filed an official press release for Sonic Rush, the upcoming DS title starring Sonic and the new character, Blaze the Cat. (Read about it here) Whilst next to no new details were unveiled, Sega have said that they are aiming for a late 2005 launch for this title.

Sonic Heroes. One of the most anticipated games of the year. First Americans were told to wait 16th-ish January 2004 for the game, while Japan had it coming mid December ’03. Europe was unconfirmed.
SEGA Europe treated us to a 5th December release date for Heroes, something so that us Europeans could be thankful for living in the hell-hole of games releases (not including New Zealand and Australia) for once.
Then the US release date went FORWARD (very uncommon), the Jap release got pushed BACK and the European release was still the same. It’s most likely that there was some miscommunication, but apparently SEGA Europe assured everyone the date of Heroes will be before the Japanese release date.
5th December has come and gone, and no Sonic Heroes. It looks like the online shops are right about the game being pushed back as far as FEBRUARY 2004 for Europe. At present we’re contacting SEGA Europe about this, but at the moment, it looks like there’ll be no promised Sonic this Christmas for us Europeans. Shame that.

An official press release from SEGA has revealed that Sonic Advance 2 will release in North America in Spring 2003. No specific date was announced, but it does fall in line with our recently-reported UK release date of March. so perhaps the US and Canada will get to play the new GBA game at the same time.

It’s about time! Sonic Team fans with an Xbox console have been patiently waiting for the launch of Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II, and now it looks like there’s light at the end of the tunnel. The game will be released on Xbox in Japan and the West in early 2003.

The release date has been revealed for Sonic Mega Collection. The compilation will arrive on Nintendo Gamecube on November 12 in the US, and on December 19 in Japan. But more interestingly, the disc will come with two more Mega Drive games!

Fresh from SEGA’s official website, we now know the release date for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on the Gamecube for the US. According to the site, the game will hit store shelves in January 2002, which is a month after its release in Japan. That should be enough time to get all the localisation ready, from voices to extras, right? Time to get excited!

Rumours are flying around that a Japanese release date has been set for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for Nintendo Gamecube. Sega has put us all out of our misery and finally announced a release date for Sonic Adventure 2. The game will be hitting Japanese store shelves on June 23, which just happens to be Sonic the Hedgehog’s 10th Anniversary! What a fitting launch date. The game will launch in North America a couple of days before, on June 21 – not quite the Anniversary, but close enough (and US fans get to play it earlier, so stop whining).
