The third episode of Sonic Mania Adventures just dropped today, and as teased at the end of the last episode, it stars everyone’s favorite red, bipedal, gem-guarding echidna, Knuckles.
Will Knuckles fall for another one of Eggman’s ruses? Will he fail at his one job, again? Will he indeed not chuckle, as the news headline implies? I don’t know, because I haven’t actually watched the episode yet. Check out the video below to find out, and be sure to stick around after the credits for a little tease of what’s to come!
Sonic Mania Adventures features character art from Tyson Hesse, music from Tee Lopes, and animation from Neko Productions.

…And launches a thousand YouTube speculation videos and Sonic fansite articles!?”
Ever since the boxart leaked of TSR, fans have been pointing to a mysterious flying figure within the image.
Some say, he’s Big the Cat in disguise, whilst others claim he’s Paul Rudd infiltrating the game, for others he’s the announcer from the original ASR finally making his debut!
Well, we don’t know who he is yet, but we do now have a much clearer look at him. Steam launched a TSR page for the game along with a higher resolution image of the boxart, so lets take a closer look.
It’s…! A mysterious flying guy! He’s in a car and he has a hat! He can grow a great big fluffy moustache! He wears a robe, like a king, or emperor!
Who is he? We’ll let you know the moment we find out!

Sonic the Comic is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week, having first appeared in corner shops and news agents across the UK back in May 1993.
For fans living outside the UK (or are too young to remember!) the publication ran for nine years from 1993 to 2002 through Fleetway comics and later Egmont magazines, producing a total of 223 issues. The darker tone of the comics and the portrayal of characters garnered a cult following of fans, inspiring a resurrection of the comic in an online incarnation in the form of Sonic the Comic Online, which continues to present day.
To celebrate this milestone year in the comic’s lifetime, STCO has released issue number 275 with a 32-page story bringing to a conclusion some of the longest running storylines in the series.
Additionally, a Sonic the Comic 25th anniversary party will be taking place on Sunday, 3rd of June 2018 at the FAB café in Manchester. More information on the event, which will see many of the prolific contributors to Sonic the Comic including Richard Elson and Nigel Kitching in attendance, can be found on the event’s facebook page.
From everyone here at The Sonic Stadium, we wish Sonic the Comic a very happy birthday!

Following our news story on the the title and cover of Sonic’s latest racing game come three screenshots, courtesy of Walmart.com. The images show Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow racing on what appears to be a track taken from Planet Wisp. Wal-Mart have also listed the game price-listed at $39.96 (USD). Whether this is just a place holder or this is a Switch exclusive game remains to be seen. For now, here’s two more screenshots from this upcoming game. Click on the images for a higher res version.

UPDATED WITH HIGHER QUALITY IMAGES. The full title of the mystery Sonic game along with what’s likely the official cover has finally been revealed thanks to a leaked image on Wal-Mart’s app. Team Sonic Racing (Super Sonic Racing would have been so much better IMO) is the third in the Sonic racing series in the past ten years, only this time there doesn’t appear to be a regular Sega character in sight. The cover is from the Nintendo Switch version, but it should arrive on PS4 and XB1 as well.
Just two days ago, Sega teased the game from it’s official Twitter account. This leads me to believe we should be getting a full announcement later today if not Thursday. Team Sonic Racing is likely due this fall or holiday season. We’ll be giving you more and more coverage of this game is we get closer to E3.

SEGA continues to play coy with their Sonic racing game, which has been rumored since February and officially teased since March. Today, the Sonic the Hedgehog twitter has released a picture of what appears to be…the headlight of Sonic’s car.
Stay tuned to Sonic Stadium, where we will bring you all the latest news…even if that news is just a picture of a car tire. Here’s hoping we will get the game’s name before it comes to that.

As the scheduled dates for the filming of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie approaches, the first bit of information about the film appears to have surfaced. ‘thatHashTagShow’, a site listing details on geek culture news, claim to already know the identity of a key actor in the film.
Paul Rudd, who made his name in the hit sitcom Friends and as Scott Lang, a.k.a. Ant Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is tipped by the site as “being eyed” for the lead role in the movie.
Its believed that Rudd will play the part of Tom, a cop who befriends Sonic to take down Eggman.

If you look at some of the most popular debates between fans in the last 12 months, you’ll likely see issues with 2D Vs 3D rear it’s ugly head, the talk of tone in games being bashed around like a tired old deflated leather football, the popular debates are sadly the most tired and dull. The official Sonic the Hedgehog twitter loves its online memes and it may now be using one to hint at some upcoming announcements.
In an image that manages to combine the Sonic Mania Adventures meme with the recent Privacy Policy meme, which pokes fun at the EU’s General Privacy Protection Regulation law, there is a message that says the next Sonic Mania Adventures episode will be released “this month,” and that a new game announcement is forthcoming.
So we can probably expect the next episode of Sonic Mania Adventures by May 30. The “new game” is almost certainly a reference to the as-yet untitled Sonic racing game revealed a few months ago. It would be surprising if that game didn’t get a full reveal by the time E3 comes around next month.

All competitors raise money for SpecialEffect, a charity who specialise in developing gaming technologies for disabled children.
You can support the team by making a donation via their Just Giving donation link…and if you’d love to own the “Dash-mobile”, the car will be auctioned after the race with the proceeds also going to charity!

First4Figures has posted a new teaser image on their private Official Collector’s Club group. The teaser appears to be hinting at a potential statue for the upcoming, as-yet untitled Sonic racing game.
The image, followed by a coy “teehee,” isn’t much to go on. While this is hardly a confirmation, the blue Sonic-esque spike and checkered flag background would seem to make it being Sonic racing game related a safe bet. We’ll bring you updates as they come.

If you’ve always wanted to blast the Sonic Mania Soundtrack from your car stereo, you’re going to want to look into investing in the Japanese release of Sonic Mania Plus, which along with all of the perks of the western release will be packaged with a double CD album!
The Japanese Sonic Mania website details the full 54 track double CD, which not only includes all of the songs that appeared on the Data Discs’ Sonic Mania album release (which contained all of the original tracks in the game and will be back in stock for the launch of Plus), it also holds all of the “re-imagined” classic stage songs [EDIT: Nearly all!]. If that wasn’t enough, there are four Sonic Mania Plus bonus tracks included, along side all three Hyper Potions tracks constituting Friends and both versions of Time Trails including the version with Crush 40’s Jun Senoue on guitar.
While most will be pleased that the game is seeing an OST release on CD, it is not packaged with the western releases of Sonic Mania Plus. The special edition is available from Amazon Japan for about the same price as the western releases, however buyers will likely have to play extra for shipping and import fees in order to get their mittens on a copy. If you’re feeling even more flush, Ebten Japan are offering another edition which includes a limited edition T-Shirt, canvas purse and art cards, but these extras will set you back more than ¥8000.
