As filming for the Sonic movie is starting up as we speak, more information is trickling out through unlikely sources.
A Twitter user has received a proposed notice of filming for their area between August 7th and August 10th. This letter potentially reveals more than just technical information about scheduling though; the final title may have been revealed.
In the letterhead and within the actual body of text, the film is referred to the title “SONIC”. This is different to the preliminary title (“Sonic the Hedgehog”), and is more in line with Hollywood’s tendency for snappy titles.
In addition, the letterhead possibly has the final logo for the film. It looks mostly the same as the Sonic we’ve seen before, but Sonic’s head emblem is now a shape within the curl of the “C”. If they’re not going to use “the hedgehog”, it helps to have some way to show it’s not a film about the restaurant chain!
The letter doesn’t reveal anything about what will happen within the film, which is good for those wanting to avoid any possible spoilers. Unless you consider a car pulling up to a house and conversation happening indoors news.
An official reveal of these hasn’t been done as of yet. With production beginning now, it may be some time before Paramount formally reveal it. In any case, we’ll be sure to cover it when Paramount choose to do so.

Sonic 25th Anniversary Logo Spotted At Vegas Licensing Expo!
Earlier this month, Las Vegas held the annual Vegas Licensing Expo, we briefly covered this on our twitter feed since there was an official Boom mascot running around promoting things, well it seems there was one other big surprise there, the logo for next years 25th anniversary celebrations.
A photo posted by narkive newsgroup of Sega’s booth, clearly shows that as well as promoting Boom, Sega were also promoting next years Sonic celebrations by having a huge 25th Anniversary Logo right by the entrance to their booth.
It’s not that surprising that they would be trying to sell licenses for the 25th anniversary since usually at events like this, they try to sell licenses for one year in advanced, however this is the first time we have seen any indication that Sega really are planning to promote or do something big for Sonic’s 25th year.
Narkive also showed a number of other pictures of Sega’s booth showing a large number of Sonic Boom toys (some unreleased) and some normal Sega Sonic merchandise. You can check them out in our gallery.

P.S. Why is the logo silver? Well, 25th anniversary is a Silver Anniversary. So there you go.
