Knuckles Wraps: Kid Cudi Confirms End of Filming, Fall Release for Paramount+ Show

The release date for Paramount Plus’ Knuckles has been casually revealed by one of its cast members on Twitter. Kid Cudi, who plays an unknown character on the show, has confirmed that filming on the show has wrapped, and that it will be out this fall. Knuckles officially began filming in London less than two months ago.

This is the first time anyone connected to the production has given us an updated timeframe beyond “2023.” Paramount itself will, of course, reveal a more exact release date at some point in the future.

New Knuckles Series Logo Found on Paramount+ Press Site

The Knuckles series for Paramount+ officially entered production last month, and now we seem to have a new official logo. The new logo, which utilizes the app’s trademark white and blue color scheme, is just the series name with Knuckles’ iconic spiked fist in the C, and may not be representative of the final logo, which should be revealed closer to the series’ release.

Sonic Movie 2 Director Jeff Fowler Says Idris Elba “Absolutely Nailed” Voicing Knuckles

Knuckles’ reveal in the new Sonic Movie 2 trailer was, for many, one of the best moments seen in the trailer. There were very few complaints about how Knuckles looked, acted, and sounded. And thanks to director Jeff Fowler in a new interview, now we know why Sonic Movie’s interpretation of Knuckles ended up this way.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Trailer Debuts at The Game Awards

The trailer has got a lot to offer. There are plenty of references to the games, such as Sonic Adventure. The Master Emerald and its shrine is here, along with the Tornado, Tails, and of course, our first look at Knuckles the Echidna.

Idris Elba Voicing Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic 2 Movie

Idris Elba, an English actor and musician, has been confirmed for the role of Knuckles the Echidna in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie. Known for his roles in TV shows like The Wire and Luther and movies such as No Good Deed, Pacific Rim, the Thor trilogy, and the recently released The Suicide Squad, Elba has long had a presence in high budget television and blockbuster movies.

He also played Macavity in Cats. So, theoretically Knuckles can sing, I guess?

Knuckles and his voice actor have both long been part of Sonic 2 movie speculation. Even before Knuckles was leaked, actors like Dwayne Johnson and Jason Mamoa were both being rumored by nonsense websites as potentially being up for the role.

Alongside the announcement came a tease of how Knuckles will look in the movie: a roughed up boxing glove and some red fur. I know it’s not much, but as a long-time Knuckles fan, I like what I see! Check it out below:
