Sonic Movie Sequel Title Revealed, Will Hit Cinemas April 2022

The official name of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie sequel has been announced by Paramount, and you won’t be surprised at all to know what it is.

In a tweet that included a short teaser clip of the logo, the official Sonic movie Twitter account announced the “extremely obvious” name of ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2′ as the next movie’s formal title. An official logo was unveiled, featuring Miles Prowers’ iconic ‘tails’ within the number ‘2’.

Keen-eared fans will also recognise the jingle that accompanies the teaser video – it’s the opening bars to Sonic 2’s Emerald Hill Zone. No doubt this will excite those who are hoping that the upcoming sequel will be just as jam-packed with fan service as the first movie.

The teaser also confirmed the release date of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The sequel will hit cinema screens on April 8, 2022. Hopefully all this pandemic nonsense will be over and done with by then.

  1. Had this on full blast unknowingly. Now that the ringing of the rings is gone, count me excited. Gotta say the title is awesome.

  2. This movie series better not stop at 2. That would be weird. At least have a third one to represent the original trilogy.

    1. Im pretty sure they wanna make a scu (sonic cinematic universe) so unless the movie bombs (like come on prob not) there will be lots of sonic moveis hopefully

  3. Imagine if they bring back the old movie Sonic in this one. πŸ˜‚ Would be funny to see Sonic look like that and to see people whine about it again, and disgusting because it’s old movie Sonic at the same time!

    1. If they wanted to have a reference to the old movie design in the sequel, they could have a guy trying to sketch Sonic with one of those fancy paintings like you’d find in a mall, and it could be the result. And to add on to the humor, they could have Sonic comment negatively about it.
