We miss Sonic Boom (the TV show, obviously). We’re sure you all do too. No doubt story editors on the cartoon, Greg Hahn and Alan Denton, miss the animation grind more than most though – and to pep themselves (and the world) up a little bit they’ve collaborated with ‘Sonic’ voice actor talent to perform a readthrough of one of their favourite unpublished pilot scripts.
The initiative is called ‘Animation Under Lockdown’, and while it’s not a Sonic script they’re reading through – it’s for an unproduced pilot that never got its day – you will definitely recognise the amazing voice acting talent they’ve clubbed together with.
The lineup includes:
- Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Sonic the Hedgehog movie, Sonic Boom, Naruto, Danny Phantom, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes)
- Mike Pollock (Pokémon, Sonic Boom, Sonic X, TMNT ’03, Ultimate MUSCLE, Yu-Gi-Oh)
- Cindy Robinson (The Purge, Final Fantasy VII remake, Sonic Boom, Powerpuff Girls, Mass Effect 2)
- Pete Capella (Sonic ’06, Sonic Rivals, The Most Popular Girls In School)
