The official Sonic the Hedgehog Facebook page has confirmed today that the long awaited PC Digital Download version of Sonic Adventure 2 will finally be distributed online as early as this coming Monday, the 19th of November.
The updated Dreamcast classic will be accompanied by the Battle Mode DLC, which unlocks additional content within the game – additional multiplayer stages and characters, and Chao Karate being noteworthy – the DLC of course being sold separately.
No word yet on the PC port of NiGHTS into dreams… HD.
Special thanks to Danielius on the SSMB for the tip!

It was a fine Friday evening… until our own Shadzter found this on the web.
Say what you will about how you feel towards Sonic Adventure 2, whether you find it to be the best or worst game ever, but I think we can all find some common ground when it comes to the questionable quality of this… “review”?
I don’t know, am I actually allowed to call it that?

THEY say never go back for a reason.
This was a great game more than ten years ago – a release to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Sonic franchise in 2001.
It was the final Sonic title to come out on Sega hardware and was the best game on the Dreamcast.
You get what you expect with Sonic. Speed, rings and corny voices.
Not something to rush out and get, unless you’re feeling particularly nostalgic, or you harbour a determination to play all of the Sonic games.

What better way to celebrate the upcoming release of Sonic Adventure 2 HD on XBLA, PSN, and PC, than with this ?
We’ve got quite a super Mash-Up Monday for you all today! Those who cannot withstand mash-up power levels exceeding 9000 are advised to proceed with caution. (There, I just saved you all the joke.)
The main theme to the Dreamcast classic, Crush 40’s Live and Learn, fuses withBruce Faulconer’s SSJ3 Ascension theme from Dragonball Z to commemorate this great occasion! Super Sonic and Super Saiyan Goku? Now that, I dig.

Courtesy of SEGA of Japan (if the Japanese language and text weren’t a dead giveaway), a near 3 minute montage went online yesterday showcasing the upcoming rerelease in high definition action. The video demonstrates cutscenes, multiplayer, the Chao Karate, and bits of the bonus documentary that will accompany the highly anticipated classic, and I have to say: the entire package looks gorgeous.
Eager fans of this game will find SA2HD, as well as NiGHTS into Dreams HD, available on their consoles as early asnext week!
Can I just take a minute to add how beautiful that game looks right now? Because I would just love to say how beautiful that game looks right now. It’s so beautiful!
