Sonic at the Tokyo Olympics Passes 2 Million Pre-Registrations, SEGA Giving Away Limited Edition Jacket

Sonic’s athletic mobile run hasn’t even had its starting pistol fired yet, and already over two million people have pre-registered to the Sonic at the Tokyo Olympics app. And it’s only been seven days since we last talked about it! To celebrate, SEGA is opening a lottery for fans to win a cool limited edition jacket.

We don’t have anything more than the picture shown above to illustrate the new bit of merch, but as you can see it’s a navy sports jacket that features the main key art for Sonic at the Tokyo Olympic Games in silhouette on the back. Looks cool, don’t you think?

To enter the contest, you need to be following the @SEGA_OFFICIAL Twitter account and then retweet the below post before Wednesday 6 May at 23:59 (we’re assuming this is JST – Japan Time – so make that 15:59 on the same day in London, UK).

No idea if this contest is actually open to fans outside of Japan – we wouldn’t actually be surprised if this was for Japanese users only – but it’s worth a shot isn’t it!? To those of you who have a shot at this… good luck!
