Is it strange that the soundtrack for a game specifically meant for CD is on a vinyl record now? Can we call this Sonic Vinyl instead? Sonic Record? Who cares, because Sonic CD’s Japanese (and European) OST is available on record via Data Discs, and we’re ready to lay the wax and spin the sounds!
While it won’t contain game data (could you imagine?), it’ll definitely house those funky tunes you know and love. You’ll be working your record player to death, because these three double-sided records contain every track from each time zone: Past, Present, Good and Bad Future, as well as various jingles. If you don’t have a record player, don’t sweat it; you can keep the collector discs free from scratches and play the lossless (and lossy) digital tracks instead, which are included as a download code.
The soundtrack will be available in three color varieties: Black, Blue and “Splatter,” which will be a “limited edition” set with a unique design for each record, so expect this one to sell out first! They will also include three double-sided art prints, liner notes from Naofumi Hataya himself, and a cool etching design on “Side F.”

Just to point out that the limited edition will be kept open until 12pm June 17th and all orders up to that point will be guaranteed a copy of the limited edition version! Shame the vocal themes aren’t on there, but otherwise it’s a nice set!
