Comic Preview: IDW Sonic the Hedgehog #3

Do you want to be rougher than the rest of them, or do you just want a little rough and tumble?

With the IDW comic well on its way to securing its position in the franchise, the preview for Sonic the Hedgehog #3 has been released! The next village Sonic comes across allows him to meet up with his oldest frenemy; Knuckles! But before they can catch up and banter, two mercenaries in the form of Rough and Tumble prove to be quite the handful for the combat duo. Can they work together and beat down the threat? And what else is going on with the mystery behind the scenes? This is the third part of the “Fallout” arc.

  1. That confidence will only get you so far. Sometimes its okay to not be like Sonic in the last preview panel.

  2. Not really feeling the art this time around, at least not as much as the second issue. It’s not bad by any means, but it does look kinda flat as far as things like coloring and shading go.

  3. Local shop said that a lot of people were picking up the new series when I went and picked up issues #1 and #2 last week. I couldn’t actually find #1 at the time because I wasn’t sure where they were keeping the new issues (not where they’d kept the Archie series for sure) and they had to go hunt for one because there weren’t even sure they had any left.

Hopefully it bodes well for the IDW series.

  4. At last, someone actually *explains* why there are Wisps in Lost World and Forces!

Why couldn’t that have been in the games themselves? All it would have taken is one or two extra lines of dialogue.
