The Sonic Forces Demo Is Not Coming To The West

As we mentioned yesterday, Sega released a demo for Sonic Forces on the Japanese Nintendo eShop. Today the Japanese PSN also got the demo; this prompted many fans to speculate that the demo might eventually end up on western stores by next week.

Unfortunately, this will not be the case.

Earlier tonight on the Sonic the Hedgehog live-stream, Aaron Webber confirmed that the demo would not be making it to the west. Whilst no direct reason was given, it was suggested that regional differences were the reason behind the decision which was also the reason for the 60 second time limit.

If you are desperate to try the demo. You can create Japanese accounts on your PS4 and Switch and still download and play it, just a little extra hurdle but it is possible.

  1. SEGA has zero faith in their own game lmao.

I’m pretty sure Unleashed, Generations, and Lost World all had demos.

      1. Plus the only way can play the demo is by creating a Japanese Switch or PS4 account. You should check that article out if you haven’t already.

  2. SEGA knows they have a failure of a game coming out and will take any step to keep their cash cows from finding out just how much of a fail bomb it really is.
