Sonic Universe #81 is due for release next Wednesday. And don’t think this is going to pass by without mentioning that Silver and Von Schlemmer have a fitting Marty and Doc dynamic going on considering that all of the Back to the Future events became our past about two days ago. Great Scott, it was their plan all along!

I certainly hope something bad will happen to the Onyx City Council, ’cause them getting killed at the end of the arc would be satisfying
That’s not gonna happen. This arc has been too fun and goofy to have a dark ending like that.
It worked in Shadow Fall to have the villain get murdered because that arc was “Dark” by the comic standards of today.
I feel like “Fractured Mirror” is a much darker and creepier arc though. But that’s a discussion for another day.
Performing experiments on people with powers that results in them “not returning”, painfully forcing one to open a portal full of evil things and threatening to kill anyone who doesn’t perform their “duties” (do work, basically) isn’t dark?
The comic isn’t really touching on these topics. I had to reread the first two parts to understand what you meant.
The most memorable parts are the silly parts. Which is a majority of The Silver Age.
It has dark undertones but unless part 3 and 4 really put more emphasis on those dark elements my opinion still stands.
Nevermind what I said before. They get their fair share of punishment.
I’m loving that alternate cover, looks like something from the more ‘mature’ or ‘mainstream’ comic companies like DC or Marvel! I’m also loving this arc so far! It doesn’t feel anywhere near as rushed or thrown-together as the main-series comics have since the reboot.
