You may remember we reported a week or so ago that Nintendo had seemingly revealed the release date for Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games as 8th November by means of a Wii U notification. For those of you who were getting excited, you’re about to be a little disappointed because it turns out that was just a mistake on the Big N’s part. Nintendo have provided the following clarification regarding the game’s release:
The Nov. 8 launch date for Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games that was recently listed in a Wii U notification was an error. A confirmed launch date will be announced in the future. We apologize for any confusion.
So, it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for our next sporting crossover – but at least we have Sonic Lost World to look forward to in the meantime! And you can be sure that, 8th November or not, Mario & Sonic 2014 will be hitting retail and digital stores before the year is over to cash in on the inevitable Christmas rush.
When do you think Mario & Sonic will be released? Anyone who predicts correctly gets bragging rights!

This has to be the dumbest thing I have read.
They aren’t producing Wii games anymore and they aren’t cancelling this seeing how the other three had made large sums of money.
You sound like you’re mad that it’s not on your precious console. Get with the program; you are not entitled to have everything on *your* precious system of choice.
M&S 2014 is Wii U, period. (and probably 3DS, but no one’s said anything about this…)

an error geez this is just for the game retail
if they were delaying it wont be because they are making a 3ds version cause london 2012 wii version came out a few months before 3ds version so i doubt they are delaying just to make a 3ds version
