Exclusive: Video of New Area In Planet Wisp

So yeah, apparently a level I took video of weeks ago at a public event still hasn’t been uploaded on the internet. Who knew? You can read my complete hands on of the game here. To say the least, I find the game fun, and this stage was no exception.

The footage of the new area starts at 4:46. It’s played from start to finish of course, though I did screw up the drifting a little.

  1. Nuckles87, say, in the video, you always homing attack the enemy´s so, my question to you, is it possible to still boost trough the enemys or did they remove that feature?
I asking this to myself since the first footage was posted, since his boost looks a little different now and doesn´t have this “shield” in front of him like he used to in Unleashed and Rush 1 & 2.

  2. @Tobibrocki yeah I just saw a vid of the Planet Wisp level being played by a guy named Aaron (from Sega)…I’m 100% positive you can boost through the enemies (I think nobody has found out they can do it yet that’s why everybody always does the homing attack through a path of enemies)

  3. Now this is how a 3D Sonic game should look!

Awesome, enormous levels that make inventive use of Sonic’s speed. Neat little platforming sections to remind you of the old days.

Looking forward to Colors more and more every News update. Keep it up, Sonic Stadium!

  4. OH I know why my comments haven’t been coming up! I missed an L off hotmail.XD.

    So.

@Tobibrocki I played the game at SoS, and I’m pretty sure I oosted through some enemies. I’ll have another look over my footage.

  5. Through many of developer interviews I heard that each area (planet) will contain about 5-6 acts plus a boss. If the first act is around 4 minutes and the other acts are around 2 minutes each than there will be plenty of length to the game. Also, many people are forgetting that the original games didn’t have very long stages either, but people constantly replayed them so that they could find all of the alternate paths and get all the extras; and in colors there are alot of alternate paths, and many special rings which unlock co-op stages to find, which will make the player revisit the stages to do more exploration. I think that these alternative paths are one of the best things about Sonic.
