Meet SEGA’s E3 1996 Booths Including The Sonic Xtreme Booth

YouTube user ojdon has come across 2 clips from an unknown French source of some of SEGA’s booths at E3 1996 including the Sonic Xtreme booth, the NiGHTS into Dreams booth(with some nice rings from the game around it) and the Bug Too! booth. Correct me if I’m wrong but as far as I’m aware footage of these booths has never been seen until now so it’s pretty cool to get a look at them at long last.

Check them out!

  1. In one of those videos is about 1 second of Sonic Xtreme footage… and in that one second you see sonic jumping/doing a spin attack, and you wonder… Lordy…. how lovely it would have been…

  2. Saturn! The game is never over… unfortunately , it was *sob sob sob*

*drops to one knee, removes official Sonic 1 baseball cap, says a few words and places flowers on X-Tremes grave*

*Gets up as sun light starts to shine through gray clouds.. sees a cloud that resembles the mysterious Needlemouse emblem… smiles for a second.. as the cloud dissipates.. *

*Every time someone says Sonic Adventure 2 was good, all Sonic players worldwide are disconnected from their online Smash Bros Brawl game*

  3. Honestly, I don’t think Xtreme would have been that great. I’ve read reviews of people who played the unfinished version and they said it was kind of annoying with weird views and weird gravity issues.

  4. @Jix
    i can imagine it…
    it looks beautiful…
    *waits for project needlemouse infos
(ah and i am gonna ignore your signature from now on so you can keep it ;))

  5. wow, looks amazing. Wish I could have been there to see the prototype stuff.

And Jix, Sonic Adventure 2 was good.

  6. The fact that this was reported only a day after more of the development stuff from Xtreme had been discovered is a pretty weird coincidence.
