Sony Computer Entertainment have revealed 24 third party companies who have been granted development licenses to support Sony’s community focused virtual world PlayStation Home and among those 24 names is SEGA. PlayStation Home is currently available via PlayStation Network in BETA form but with all of this third party support should soon be on track to being complete.

No info or media has been revealed as to what these third party companies plan on adding to PlayStation Home yet due to them only just getting their development licenses but it should certainly be interesting with the ability for these companies to be able to develop rooms themed around certain games as shown a while back with Sony’s titles.
Could we see a Sonic themed room with rings, item boxes and Chao decorated around the room. Sonic 1 playable arcade machines in the corner? Maybe it could be like Sonic’s room on Sonic Shuffle? Either way, make it happen SEGA!

I don’t have a PlayStation 3, but if there was a Sonic theme room in home, it would certainly add to the reasons I’d wish to get one. A Nights-themed room probably wouldn’t be half bad either.
A sonic themed room would be rather grand, a Segaland themed room would be top too… however, I can imagine that what will happen is that they will sell Sonic character themed costumes in the shops for you to walk around in.
a sonic room in Home, hmm… oh! i got a better idea. instead of sega just making a sonic room, why dont they mak a SEGA room, itll feature all of sega’s great franchises, including the blue blur, and then include trailers for their upcoming games, not to mention arcade machines. i go on home on a weekly basis, i need something from every developer for me 2 keep comin back while not gettin bored…

OK, I think my hopes too high. It’s going to be sorta hard for SEGA to get actual Sonic stuff into Home. Maybe we’ll get lucky if we get Sonic headphones or something.
