The wait is almost over for Nintendo fans in the US – the very first Sonic the Hedgehog titles for the Game Boy Advance and Gamecube have been given a North American release date. Do you usually like February when it rolls around every year? You will now.
Sonic Advance will be the first to hit store shelves, on Game Boy Advance – set your calendars to Monday, 4 February 2002 and set aside $39.99 to buy it. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on Gamecube will follow shortly after, officially releasing on Tuesday 12 February 2002. These dates come from listings found on EB Games.
To prepare fans for this double-whammy of Sonic action, THQ – who, if you remember, has been signed on to publish SEGA titles on Game Boy Advance in the West – has launched a new microsite specially for Sonic Advance. It’s in that fancy new Flash format too, so it feels really modern and space-age. Check it out here.
