SEGA Sues Kmart for Alleged Non-Payment of Dreamcast Shipments

With all the news/rumours flying around about Sega ceasing production of the Dreamcast, you’d be forgiven for thinking that US retailer Kmart’s removal of the console from its shelves was some sort of reaction to that. Well, you’d be wrong – Sega is suing the chain for allegedly failing to pay around $2.2 million for hardware shipments since 1999.

Feedback Forum: Give SEGA a Break!

Sega has had its ups and downs – more downs than ups, but that was due to its consoles, not the games created for them. Sega tried to make the most out of every console they made (including the Sega Saturn, which was a mongoose to program for). So I believe that Sega is pretty good when it comes to making games. Just look in your local arcade for Christ’s sake! How many Sega cabinets do you see? Most of the games are made by them! Continue reading Feedback Forum: Give SEGA a Break!

‘SEGASonic the Hedgehog’ Arcade Game Discovered and Dumped

A rather nice discovery has been made, amidst all the console doom and gloom. It turns out that a rather crafty member of the Sonic community has got his hands on a working ROM of a long-lost Sonic game called ‘SEGASonic the Hedgehog’. The title, originally released in Japanese arcades in limited numbers, has been difficult to emulate due to its unique trackball control scheme. But now, someone’s played it on a computer! SA2: Sonic’s Shadow Has a Name

New images of Sonic Adventure 2 have been revealed, giving a name to Sonic’s mysterious black doppelgänger. His name is Shadow, and he certainly looks similar enough to Sonic to be named as such. The images also introduce a new character called Rouge. These characters look amazing and I can’t wait ’til the game comes out! Who knew that black hedgehog had a name… Screenshots below! Dreadknux’s Diaries: The False Move

This is a series of personal blogs written by Dreadknux during the formative years of The Sonic Stadium. It chronicles significant events in the website’s early life.

Greed had a part to play in this one. For the ‘new’ look, I needed a server that was bigger than Angelfire’s 50MB. This was where I started to get greedy, and set off to look for servers that had unlimited web space, but without the annoying ad banners. Pop Ups would be OK though. I found many solutions, but they would not offer space for MP3 files which cheesed me off big time.

Then I found it – the biggest mistake of my life. Continue reading Dreadknux’s Diaries: The False Move
