Sonic and PAC-MAN to Swap Places in Sonic Dash and PAC-MAN Mobile Games

Bandai Namco Games and SEGA has finally lifted the curtain on the curious Sonic and PAC-MAN collaboration that was teased last week – and while it confirms that the ghost-munching yellow ball will feature as a special character in Sonic Dash, it appears that the blue blur will also cameo in the mobile version of PAC-MAN Arcade in return!

Dubbed the ‘Classic Crossover’, the like-for-like switcheroo will see Ghosts take over Sonic Dash’s stages as boss characters while PAC-MAN runs to victory, while the 1980s dot-filled mazes of PAC-MAN will get a Green Hill Zone style colour scheme and will replace collectibles with rings.

You also get a tiny little 8-bit Sonic sprite to move around with, and he looks super cute. The special event will run throughout the next month – catch the trailer outlining the crossover details for both games below.

  1. This is possibly the weirdest crossover I’ve ever seen. But from what I see in the trailer, they’ve done a good job 🙂

  2. Too bad Pac-Man is not based on the old Hanna-Barbera cartoon.

Anyway, the next guest star should be Mario, just for the sake of also including Sonic in Super MArio Run as a playable character.

  3. You know what? I’m glad I unlocked Pac-Man in the game. But I’m regretting ever doing it on my tablet, because my ASUS ZenPad is behind the times, and yet I bought it last year, or the year before. I can’t even play King’s Knight on it, unless I go for the NES Original on an Emulator, with NO microtransactions! In the promotion, Sonic Dash slowed down to the point where it was monotonous!

The Point is I need a new tablet, top-of-the-line, modern, and BETTER, even if I have to buy IT instead of the Switch!
