You can find the quiz right here – the competition is open until the 1st January 2012. Good luck!
awesome 😀
I loved “This Machine” My ex-girlfriend asked me for a copy of the song thinking it was done by some well-known band
Hey guys, let’s go to a Sonic the Hedgehog convention and not sing any song we did in a Sonic game, it totally won’t annoy the fans.
Haha. I did laugh. 🙂 We did try our best to make ’em though.
There’s a good reason for this.
The guys need a certain amount of time to get the samples and sounds for each song and practise them. Ryan and Amir live in LA, Fu lives in Canada and Elias lives in Texas (IIRC.)
Before the guys confirmed they would be at SOS, they had already temporarily relocated to Berlin, Germany, and had no possible way to access their presets in order to play these songs – if you’re a Julien-K fan, it wouldn’t take a genius for us to realize it just wouldn’t sound right on 2 guitars and drums (and possibly a bass, as Fu wouldn’t play keys on it, due to no presets.)
ANOTHER reason is that THIS MACHINE was actually ONLY Ryan and Amir. When I was touring with them in 2010, I played THIS MACHINE on my phone and Fu didn’t even recognize it.
Indeed. There were many good reasons for J-K not to perform those songs. And I know that Ryan and Amir were very keen to actually perform them too. They were just as gutted as we were – but at the end of the day, we can’t change the laws of physics.
As Lee said, it was too late for them to prepare the tracks and practice them as they were already on tour – and you wouldn’t expect the band to continue playing tracks made 6-8 years ago when they have new material to play on tour.
Long story short, we wanted them to play them; they wanted to play them; but it couldn’t feasibly be done. It was still an electrifying set though, regardless. 🙂
I know this is way off topic but i don’t feel like opening an SSMB account or forums.
But, while playing sonic generations, Crisis City to be exact, how many people felt an earthquake while playing Crisis city? I sure did. it was weird and awesome.
Nope 😛 I never felt one.
Hey Dreadknux, I know this out of the blue, (no pun intended) but do you have a girlfriend? After seeing your picture, you seem like the kinda guy a ton of girls would go after 😉 Idk, the pic is so small, so I can’t really see it that good xD
Sounds like Ricardo is looking for a date, Dread!
XD
lol haha XD
Woah there! xD I had a feeling someone would say something like that! x) I’m straight, T-Bird, I don’t go “that way”. I was just suggesting by his looks, that girls would go after him. 😛 I am not looking for a date today, or for guys. The girls are where it’s at!
XD
Haha! Well, thanks Ricardo, you certainly know how to make a man blush!
Back off, he’s mine! 😛
