7 More Facts About Sonic Colours & New Quote

Todays Sonic Colours news keeps stacking up, with ArchangelUK revealing seven more interesting facts about the game over at the Sonic City Blognik.

• Cubot’s voice processor is broken – and stuck on “cowboy mode”.
• If you run out of Wisp power when underground in Drill mode you WILL die.
• FOXY FACT: Tails isn’t as keen on high speeds as you might think…
• Pits of death DO exist, however when you approach a section where this isn’t immediately obvious a hazard warning triangle will appear at the bottom of your screen so you do get some warning.
• FOXY FACT II: Tails’ toolbox is painted like the blue Tornado paint scheme, and even has his two-tail logo on it.
• Destroying all enemies in a built up area using a Wisp power or dash will get you a “SLAM” bonus.
• Starlight, star bright – is that a Motobug? Alright!

A quote from the game has also been revealed on the official SonicGames Twitter account:

Another bit of info has been posted at Sonic Retro too:

It was spotted earlier that there was also what appeared at least to be a Crabmeat.

Speaking of Motobug, you remember that Sonic Short with the Motobug kid with stabilisers? Colours has what could be termed a Daddy Motobug…………. Retro exclusive factoid~!

  1. Cowboy mode? Oh gosh that’s going to be great. Can’t say I’m too happy about the first Foxy Fact though, because it probably means we won’t be playing as Tails anytime soon. :/

  9. … Marvellous. This game hasn’t failed to impress yet. I admit that I was dreading the story tone, but my fears have been misguided (or more accurately, I realised that light-hearted and funny was more beneficial to my health than “serious” stories. Not that I would mind another attempt at one, mind). Bring it, Sonic Colours! =D

  10. Here’s a couple of quotes from Eggman that I’ve found over at the official Sega forums

    Eggman: “Please don’t be concerned by any screaming aliens. The screams are how they communicate. Really. I promise.”

    Eggman: “We’ve found your — er… your keys! That’s it, we’ve found your keys. No need to be ready for a trap, since we only wish to return your keys!”

  11. The writers from MADWORLD and Happy Tree Friends is writing the script so it might be good comedy if done right. And from what I’m reading so far the whole game seems to have slapstick humor.

    Why is it that they took so long to bring this back. On the game gear version of Sonic 1 (or was it 2) they would put the caution triangle up when a pit was near, but not visible. I’m not sure if they continued this in any Sonic games (didn’t play rivals) but it should have been present in the Advance & Rush games.

  16. Something TOLD me you’d be screwed if you ran outa Yellow Wisp power while in drill mode. This game just got a whole lot more challenging ^-^

  18. What Sonic means from past experiences, things that glow tend to be dangerous or significant. The chaos emeralds glow and they contain such amazing power. Or that the amusment park is full of colorful lights and it makes it glow and shiny. So he and Tails go and check it.
