As if we needed any more reason to be excited about IDW’s Sonic 30th Anniversary comic, we now have a high quality version of the one-shot comic’s cover artwork. And it beautifully references the PAL box art of the original Mega Drive Sonic the Hedgehog box art.
The cover was designed by freelance artist and animator Mark Hughes, whose work you might have seen before in some official Sonic Twitter art pieces and Summer of Sonic convention’s 2016 key artwork.
This particular piece will adorn the covers of the exclusive Comic Con variant of IDW’s Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary comic. Now we just need to figure out a way to get our hands on it, from all the way in the UK, as we have to have a version of this book that reflects the superior European Mega Drive box artwork.
