The full preview for Sonic the Hedgehog #36 has been released, and it’s all hands on deck to stop Dr Starline in this issue. He’s set up an avalanche that Sonic needs to somehow avert to save the guests of White Park!
He’s not the only one with beef to grind with Starline though. Shadow’s mission has led him to the point of taking him out, but he’ll have to grapple with whether this is truly the right action to take. Mix that with Rouge and Tails needing to escape Starline’s deadly trap, and the other girls fighting their way out of imprisonment with unruly Badniks, and it all makes for a jam-packed conclusion! I like the detail of giving Rouge a different outfit, since it goes with her myriad of costumes in SA2/Heroes/ShTH/Riders.
I really hate how they characterized Shadow in this arc. He’s devolve into a one dimensional Vegeta clone.
I blame that more on Sega then IDW, since the former have more control of this comic series then they ever had of the Archie comics (or any other previous Sonic comics).
Loved this issue and it personally cemented my liking of Starline as my favourite original character from the IDW comic books now from this to Bad Guys he been great.
