Tyson Hesse and Fill Marc to work on Sonic Movie Sequel

Character designer and popular Sonic artist Tyson Hesse will be returning once again to Blur studios for the sequel to the Sonic movie. Along with him with be will storyboard artist Fill Marc.

This will be Marc’s first foray into a live action movie project. You may know his work from animated cartoons such as DuckTales, Rick and Morty, and Star Trek: The Lower Decks. In a now-deleted tweet, Marc started stated “I wrapped up work on Lower Decks Season 2 last week. Excited 2 announce I’ve been working on the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Story Team with Jeff Fowler and Tyson Hesse at Blur Studio. My first live action feature coming in 2022.”

Tails Channel was able to grab the above quote and image from the tweet before Marc removed it. Given the tweet was deleted, Marc likely jumped the gun on this a little. We can probably expect an official announcement and further confirmation from Hesse himself soon. Stay tuned to Sonic Stadium for that!

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is due out April 2022.

  1. Aww. Marc didn’t have Sonic do the Vulcan Hand Sign? That’s no way for the franchise to Live Long and Prosper.
