Every year, Extra Life starts streaming games in an effort to encourage watchers to donate money to a variety of Children’s hospitals. It’s a wonderful gesture, and a group of Sonic fans are looking to raise money for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia!
A week long charity event in aid of @ExtraLife4Kids, starting November 2nd 2019.

Going under the name of “Sonic Week,” these lovely people will be playing a plethora of games starring our favorite hedgehog! Among the many, we’ll see playthroughs of Sonic Heroes, Sonic CD, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Colors, Sonic 2006, Mean Bean Machine, Sonic Mania, and well… darn near all of them, really! Even Sonic X for the Game Boy Advance. Somehow. Expect all of your favorite (and not-so favorite) Sonic games to make an appearance from November 2nd through November 9th.
There’ll be some competition as well, including some races as per the norm for the Sonic series. You can also expect some “donation wars” where the highest donation will influence how a streamer proceeds in a game (highest bidder picks which story is played in Sonic Heroes, for example) so you can expect to see some funny moments. Their goal is to raise $5,000, but there’s also a milestone: if they can reach $750 by November 4th, they promise an interview with the voice of Dr Eggman, Mike Pollock!
The stream starts tomorrow on their Twitch channel here, and you can check out their schedule of games on this spreadsheet. We hope to see you there!
