Yesterday, a twitter user with the handle of BestInTheGalaxy, randomly tweeted two images of what appear to be photographs of the new redesign of Sonic in the upcoming live-action film.
It was reported back on May 24th, 2019 that the movie, which had previously been dated for November 8th, 2019, has been delayed to February 14th, 2019 due to the decision to redesign Sonic for the film after quite a bit of fan criticism.
We will make sure to let you know when the redesign is officially revealed, and of course we will update this article if it gets confirmed true or false either way.

Jokes aside we need to see it first and then judge it.
Bigger, more Sonic style eyes are so much more pleasing to see, especially with what appears to be a much nicer, cartoonier head-to-body size ratio. And the added colour to his beige bits definitely makes him look less dead. Blue arms still, but eh- Sonic Boom set that precedent already.
And omg GLOVES! I’d completely forgotten they gave him freakish little white hands before, so I didn’t even notice the massive impact re-gloving Sonic does!

Assuming for the moment this is the real deal, blue colored arms aside, its a decent improvment. The eyes looks good and he has both his gloves and his normal shoes (or atleast something more closer to them as far as I can tell) back on.
It looks much better, if this is a real leak. I think on the official Twitter for the movie a few months ago, they had a picture of Sonic’s hand holding a sign and Sonic was wearing a white glove. Remember that? So this could *possibly* be authentic.

I’d love the design of Sonic for the film. Oh, there’s one more thing left: the colour of the arms! And I hope the Freedom Fighters will be in the movie, too!
