The wait is finally over! The Sonic Amateur Games Expo of 2019 is live, and now it’s time to dig into some awesome fangames!
Some high profile fangames include Sonic Islands, Sonic Battle R, Vertebreaker, Sonic 3 AIR and even a SatAM-themed RPG! You can check them out on the official SAGExpo site here.

This is one of the most exciting times to be a Sonic fan! Sometimes fangames can be of a pretty high quality, and some have been known to become official games (such as Freedom Planet)! You definitely don’t want to let one fly under your nose. Enjoy SAGE, everyone!

Looks like Sonic AGES isn’t in the lineup this year. That’s a shame. Loved the look of it and was interested in seeing it develop.
I recently saw the video for Sonic Project Hero, color me impressed. This is seriously the most interesting 3D Sonic fangame I have ever seen since Sonic Utopia. I hate to be one of those “Hey Sega/Sonic Team! Hire this person or take notes.” types of people but this fangame is honestly that good.
