Jun Senoue’s Sonic Adventure Music Experience Performing in Tokyo on June 22

If you thought SEGA was just stopping with a party at Tokyo Joypolis to celebrate Sonic’s 28th birthday, you’re sorely mistaken. Sonic series sound director (and author of the incredible Team Sonic Racing soundtrack) Jun Senoue will also be performing live with his band ‘Sonic Adventure Music Experience’ in just a few days time.

‘SAME’ (consisting of Senoue, Takeshi Taneda and Act.) will be playing live at the Shibuya Stream Hall in Tokyo, Japan, on June 22 (that’s tomorrow), at an event titled ‘FACE to FACE Vol.2’. Doors open at 5:00pm JST, and they will be performing alongside ‘SQ F.O.E.’, another official video game band known for live renditions of Etrian Odyssey music.

The band was seen rehearsing their set – which will no doubt include many tracks from the Sonic Adventure series, as well as Team Sonic Racing – recently by the Japan Game Music Fes Twitter account, and posted the below photo. Look at those awesome dudes, getting ready to rock!

If you’re in Shibuya on Saturday night, and want to celebrate Sonic’s birthday early, you can pick up tickets via the Lawson Ticket website here.
