Free to play mobile RPG game Monster Super League will be crossing over with SEGA’s famous blue hedgehog during his birthday week in an upcoming “Collaboration Festival!”
Korean developer 4:33 Creative Lab will be working with SEGA to bring Sonic into the fray to battle alongside astrological-themed monsters known as “Astromon.” When you pre-register for the festival, you’ll receive Sonic as if he were an Astromon, as well as a load of Astrogems and some Astromon Selection Cards.
You can er, also ‘become Sonic’s master’, according to the pre-registration page. Yep.
Sonic won’t be alone, though. In the teaser image, we can also see that Tails and Knuckles will be featured in some way. Astromon can be strengthened to evolve, not unlike Pokémon, so it’s possible that Sonic could transform as well. Perhaps we’ll see him become Super Sonic, or maybe another transformation like Darkspines or Excalibur Sonic?
Pre-registration starts today, so if you were interested in trying out this game with Sonic, now’s the perfect time to start!
