We may have seen leaked images early, but we weren’t going to pass judgement until we saw the hedgehog in motion. Well we did and…..it’s even worse than we thought. I’d like to add note that since Eggman is working with the government in this movie, it makes more sense to me to believe that a lot of the robots that he is working with are actually government-issue robots, at least in part (the hover drones specifically look very similar to old GUN drones from the Adventure games)

In my opinion (taking the sonic design aside) the film plays on a sort of prequel.🤔. It gives me the final scene when you see eggman in its true appearance (including the background behind it, it doesn’t seem normal). In practice, sonic will return to his world (thanks to the ring), eggman will follow him in secret, taking with him that sting taken earlier. Spent a few years alone in the world of sonic, he will continue his studies (thanks to the sting) and give life to metal sonic … but it is only a hypothesis …
