UPDATED: Still of Sonic Movie’s Robotnik leaked, trailer incoming

We may finally be getting our first look at the Sonic movie today! Earlier, SEGAbits posted an image of Jim Carrey’s Robotnik that is supposedly from the movie’s first trailer. SEGAbits also said that the trailer could hit as early as tomorrow.

SEGAbits was unable to fully confirm this information, hence why this is currently marked as a rumor. They did, however, point out that the leaked image matches images of both Jim Carrey’s hair, and of a triangular vehicle taken from the movie set, which gives it credibility:

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie is currently scheduled for a November 8, 2019 release in the United States.

  1. Not bod. It’s a different take on Robotnik that really works here. Even though you can see his eyes… and that he has hair. I really like it. Would be great if his performance is like AOSTH’s Robotnik

  2. So… he has hair, doesn’t look fat, and just all around doesn’t look remotely like Robotnik, but more like a Spy Kids villain.

Yeah that’s fine. I wasn’t going to pay to see this anyway.

  3. “Late-90’s Jim Carrey” style? So, The Mask/Ace Ventura/The Grinch levels of zany eccentricity and insanity?…sounds good to me. Kind of a relief actually.
