Alongside the release of “MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE”, the 130-track soundtrack to the soon-to-be-released Team Sonic Racing, comes Sonic Sound Team Director Jun Senoue‘s third installment of “The Works” compilation album series.
The album will include unreleased and rare tracks from several games, events and animations, including:
- Recordings from the Team Sonic Racing Stage Event at the 2018 Tokyo Game Show
- Re-recordings of songs from the Sonic Adventure series, previously only released as tracks on the Sonic Adventure Music Experience EP volume 1 and 2, given to attendees of shows in Japan
- Live recordings from the Sonic Adventure Music Experience performance at the MAGFest 2018 show in Maryland, North America
- Collaborative arrangements of songs from Sonic Mania Adventures
The album will also include “Chain Band” versions of songs from Chain Chronicle, a Japan-only tower defense game.
The album is due for release on June 19th, 2019, in advance of the Sonic Adventure Music Experience performance at the “FACE to FACE Vol. II” event, part of the Japan Game Music Festival, on June 22nd, 2019.
