The preview for Sonic the Hedgehog #289 has been released, and the 25th anniversary celebration has moved forward a game in its adaptation of the classic quartet! After fighting against Dr Eggman’s menacing contraptions on the ground, Sonic and Tails have now gone into the sky to take the fight to the mad doctor himself in his Wing Fortress!

Naturally, Eggman’s idea of a welcome party is an explosive one, and the ship itself carries many deadly traps. How will Sonic stand up to the fortress when it’s armed to the teeth in a bid to wipe him out? And what dangerous secrets lurk beyond the horizon, ready to seize opportunity at a moment’s notice?   1. I would not recommend this issue. It’s just part of the ending of Sonic 2. With nothing new in there except for dialogue and Snively.

    1. Yeah. In fact, I’d say it shares much of the last issue’s flaws, now even more glaring.

      What’s funny is how the last issue ended with the Freedom Fighters tagging along, yet here they’re absolutely nowhere to be seen. Not even a mention (aside from Sonic thinking about the Acorn Islands) on any of the characters’ part.

      1. Actually they were mentioned in the recap page, saying that sonic and the freedom fighters went through the zones until the sky chase began
