  1. I’m surprised at just how many people in the YouTube comments are being rational and even optimistic about this, given the first one’s success. 🙂 It’s great to see that while many will deem this another stain on the series, others will welcome it as another free, fun time-passer.

    1. Uh, I don’t know what comment section you’re reading, because I’m seeing a bunch of negativity.

It says a lot when one of the higher rated comments starts with “Anything associated with Sonic Boom is stupid and I refuse to give it a chance whatsoever.”

      1. I have been reading the very YouTube comments sections from the SEGA of America and Sonic the Hedgehog channels. I think I got lucky.

    2. sonic had to start deleting comments off the FB post because the loud haters were being really hateful.
once the loud people were thinned out – there was more optimistic posts appearing.

im looking forward to this edition of Sonic Dash

    3. It’s because it’s Sonic Boom.

And no one could care less about Sonic Boom.

Unfortunately, that’s one concept SEGA fails to comprehend.

      1. Yeah, it’s not like it’s getting a million viewer for its show or anything.

        Wait…

          1. Believe it or not, there are people who like Teen Titans Go just as much. Granted, people who never saw the original teen Titans or who just blindly like anything with their favourite character on it but it has a fairly large following for the amount of hate it gets.

      2. Because of one game.
One game, and people lose hope for the entire series.

I love this fanbase for that very reason.

          1. Shoot. He was already asked to do so, but here is what he had to say on the matter:

According to my calculations, Hogfather had at most 8 minutes (maybe much less) to read it. I don’t believe he did.
I was writing this article over the span of at least 6 months… or more… I don’t remember exactly how long. I started writing it after Frost’s interview and I kept consistently working on it. So it’s not something that came out in a heat of the moment. And there was significant amount of research performed on my part. Around a hundred of hours spent on it. I don’t claim that the text is idiosyncratic as if a cold soulless machine wrote it. But well, if he can’t read it, why should we care what he has to say?

I am disappointed with him. I thought he was sane. I quoted his articles multiple times.
SA3 admin was right. The quality of Hogfather’s thoughts significantly drops the moment he stops talking exclusively about technical aspects.

You know, I will need to just resign in melancholy. I gave up arguing with people. I have been doing it for years and nothing mattered. When I was calm and professional, nobody payed attention. Only when SA3 stepped it up and started to be more aggressive – only after that we got at least some attention. But when we did, this aggressiveness started to be an argument against us and we were never able to take it back. We can never do it now.

So I don’t care anymore. If he doesn’t want to read it, I am not going to talk to him. If he doesn’t read this, why would he read anything else I have to say? Seriously? I am not gonna push anything.

Originally, people were blaming SA3 for “writing too much text” instead of “stating everything one sentence” (either that we like something or not). And now, when people finally realized that a time for in-depth analysis came, they claim that we are never doing it.

I am sorry. I am gonna take a 3 months long break soon to get out of all those people who are deaf to everything they don’t agree with.

            ————————————————————————

Ouch, Hogfather. Why didn’t you read them and then just jumped to a conclusion?

  2. Did they change anything from the soft launch? If they did, possible financial and overall success. If not, it’s gonna be like when RoL just came out. Disappointment and shame.

  3. Heh, somehow this gives me an image of Boom Tails trying to develop a video game. I like little videos like these.

  4. im looking forward to this edition of Sonic Dash.
As someone who downloaded Sonic Dash on Day 1 – i can confidently say that graphics, animations and content will be massivly upped in the later months.
Day 1 Sonic Dash was so barebones and ugly to look at – but now look at it – it looks AAA but is still an indie-dev title.

plus with the blantant Metal Sonic statue on someones desk, i hope he and eggman are later added as bosses.
a few months ago i found Concept Art for Boom Dash on someones portfolio, quite beautiful.

    1. I wouldn’t say it looks AAA (mobile games never do), but it does look better than it used to

  5. well i gonna say the trailer and the developing team are looking awsome making a prefect good sonic game but i hope they try something better for the 25th anniversary next year and talk more about it.

  6. uhh… :S i just hope they changed Amy’s running animation.. or at least they change it later.. still looking so odd 😀 haha

i like those sprite being thingies.. i hope they include a backstory or something 🙂

    1. And that there’s a lot less upskirt shots. Seriously; I don’t want to be looking up a 12yo’s dress.

  7. Switching characters in Sonic Dash 2 Sonic Boom sounds awesome & the arrows of directions to left or right is the nice way to grinding selection of area, to directions. But yeah not least energy bam for the first time in Sonic Dash 2 Sonic Boom switch to right & more anything I think this new mobile Sonic game Sonic Dash 2 Sonic Boom is better then my opinion than original Sonic Dash old mobile Sonic game, hopefully it has online so that way we could each other for a challenge in the future.

    1. Not as bad as The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II: Rise of the Witch King 😉
