Preview: Sonic Boom #10 (Worlds Unite part 10)

Part 10 in issue 10? Well now that’s just weird, I tells ya.

SonicBoom_10-0

As we hit the double digits of Worlds Unite, Comics Alliance has another recap of the prior issue’s events. Along with going over the previous otherworldly recruits and an interview with Vincent Lovallo (this time bringing Ian Flynn’s knowledge of Skies of Arcadia), there’s a preview for Sonic Boom #10. The recruitment drive continues as our heroes go across six more game franchises to look for help. Would you like your escapades egg-celent, breath-taking, simply viewtiful, or a different punny adjective entirely? Meanwhile, Eggman, Wily and Xander aren’t under watch from the heroes any more, which can only mean one thing; there’s an evil and/or wacky scheme on the horizon! Catch all this in “Worlds Unite”: part 10.

  1. Sigh…for once, leaving the best for last was not a good idea, at least for this series. I dunno what Paul was thinking when he approved of this, if he knew he was going to leave such a mess.

  2. So Gilius instantly believes them even though he thinks they’re minions of Death Adders? Without even seeing them do anything to back their argument up? See, this is the problem I’m having. None of these recruitments seem normal or natural, just rushed. Characters that normally wouldn’t trust a strange creature as far as they could throw it or are initially sceptical suddenly just believe whatever they say for literally no reason other than they said so… I mean, really, if you’d never seen an anthro or robot in your life then one of each suddenly appears to you after some robots attacked you, would you just believe everything they say with nothing to back it up? I’m just hoping the next arc will be better written… It’s especially bad since this is such a huge event that was hyped up so much for so long… It’s really not helping to win all the reboot nay sayers over either, aside from the ones that are going all starry eyed over their favourite franchises being there.

    1. You know dude the characters from the others sega and capcom games have weirder shit than robots and/or anthro but it does feel like introducing them was rushed but of course they did make it 12 parts so yeah but if this crossover was an actual game it could be longer but thats just what i think but i do like this crossover though

  3. honestly, I haven’t been impressed with worlds unite at all. It’s just a rushed story attempting to squeeze in as many characters possible. Worlds collide was much better. But that’s just me

  4. I just love how Billy Hatcher gets to fight the crow-based Maverick. Props to the writers for doing their research.

  5. Damn, i could be more interested if that “Sonic Comics” characters dont appears.
I enjoy mostly of sonic-megaman crossover cause of that.
