M&S Rio 2016 Arcade Edition Out in Spring 2016 in Japan

Famitsu put up a new post about the game (which Perfectly Nintendo translated), and also Sega opened up the official website for the game.

M&S Rio 2016 Arcade Edition

It mostly just shows screenshots that were in a poster for the local tests mentioned before, and most importantly that the Arcade Edition actually has a release period set for Spring 2016 in Japan. Could we see the Wii U and 3DS versions at the same time? Only time will tell. As a note, Sega are developing and publishing the Arcade Edition, but Nintendo is publishing the Wii U and 3DS versions worldwide.

Screenshots are below as well as another look at the arcade machines:

  1. I hope that worldwide, we can get it in Spring. It seems pretty likely, given that it will be before the Olympics actually begin. I’m very eager for it, honestly.

Never thought I’d say that about Mario & Sonic.

  2. What is the difference between developing and publishing in terms of making the game?
