Despite there being no official announcement from Sega or Boomerang UK we finally have the date and most importantly, times for the UK’s showing of Sonic Boom. According to details found in numerous TV Guides, the times that Boom will be shown is as follows.
June 1st 2015.
- 4:00pm (First airing of Boom in the UK)
- 6:30pm (Repeat of the 4PM episode)
Then from June 2nd 2015
- 7:30am (From 2nd of June onwards, Repeat of June 1st’s episodes)
- 4:00pm (New episode)
- 6:30pm (Repeat of 4pm episode)
So three times per day, every day on Boomerang UK starting from June 1st.
Don’t forget to set your VCRs.
Thanks to Nightwing on SSMB for the heads up.
Why the hell does the UK get better showing times then the US. New episode at 4pm in UK while US get’s an 11 minute episode at 6am. That’s jacked up.
Same.
SEGA are rewarding the UK for buying Boom merch?
They kinda had to wait a bit longer…
Aside from the fact we had to wait an extra six months for it, the full series has already aired in the US (or almost), so there are a lot more episodes for the UK to air when they want. I’m not sure how US kids TV works, but it’s very common for UK kids TV to air pretty much the same schedule every day, so they run through shows pretty quickly.
Yeah, what Espy said and UK TV has now been able to see what does and doesn’t work and choose air dates and times to suit whereas it was mostly experimental when it aired in America.
Do people still use VCRs?
That also caught my attention. xD
Yes. DVR? What’s that? Whatever it is, I don’t have it.
Laser Disk then.

I’ll be setting the Sky+ box to record every day 🙂
The morning episodes will air just before I set off for work. I have a feeling my days are shortly about to start on a positive note 😛
