A new month brings new issue details, and this month is bringing in the monsters on the covers!
Midtown Comics is covering both of the new issue details this time. Firstly from them, Sonic, Amy and Rotor continue their underwater recovery of the Chaos Emeralds, only to run afoul of political problems when their new friend Coral (who isn’t actually on the regular cover at all, he’s a new Mantis Shrimp character!) gets in bad books with her own government. Then, continuing the back-up story of last issue, the plan that Sally concocted to tackle Eggman’s plans appears to have gone awry! This is “Waves of Change”: Part 2 and back-up “Light in the Dark”: Part 2;

Then, as was simultaneously revealed, the fight between team Chaotix and team Hooligan wages on. Knuckles has his own job to do so he has to work on through the mad grab for the Chaos Emerald. But who he finds is arguably more striking (not the match on the regular cover, though)…and dare I say possibly more important. This is “The Great Chaos Caper”: Part 2.

Whatever happens in these issues, you can guarantee that there will at least be a good amount of Gaia minion thrashing! We’ll have more info on these issues closer to their release.

*Sigh*…what happened to you Archie Comics?? I miss the old comics, before the writers randomly got obsessed with the Genesis wave. It was worth it for the classic story during the 20th anniversary and I guess it was alright for the Mega Man Crossover. But rebooting the world time after time is starting to get really annoying. I miss the good old days.. 🙁
Don’t blame them. Blame the lawsuit. Besides, these stories look really interesting, in my opinion.
I have to agree. at first i was alittle iffy but now i kinda wanna see where they take this new world. who knows what and who we’ll see later on. and i like the look of the new archie sonic characters so far. especially eclipse.
And sonicrush1991 theyve only done it twice. you act as if the genesis wave was used a TON of times. As for the new world…they had to because of the penders case
Wasn’t it used 3 times? The Genesis arc, the beginning of Worlds Collide, and the end of Worlds Collide? Anyway, what I don’t get really is that Penders mainly just created the Echidna characters, which were already gotten rid of by Thrash, so I don’t see why they had to reboot.
Because there were months of planned story/work that included some of Penders’s characters. Not having them would mess everything up. They had no choice but to reboot/change things.
Blame Ken Penders. I’m still enjoying the comic, but I’m really not a fan of reboots.

As a Chaotix fan, I have to admit to being a little disappointed in seeing Knuckles on the cover of the issue instead of one of the Chaotix of today. I know about Knuckles’ Chaotix and all that but obviously I didn’t become a fan of them through that game. It should be a little understandable at the very least.

That’s…please don’t put money on that, whatever you do. Julie-Su and Lara-Su are not going to show up in the comic again (so whoever you thought was Lara wasn’t).

Not it isn’t. Ian already mentioned that Mighty and Ray would be reappearing again, so it’s possible.
They aren’t Penders’s characters.
He’s stated that they aren’t in this arc. They are reappearing, but it won’t be here.
Ian already said they’re not going to be showing up for a while. Even so, I hope not. I’m already a little peeved that the focus of the last Chaotix arc wasn’t on Vector, Charmy, and Espio…

I know you take your decisions, but… Raaaahr ! Please !!! I’m a french Canadian fan, a new fan and… i read like… all of the comics you’ve done !
Sonic Unleashed was a good idea and the genesis wave too, i can’t say any other thing about that : Sonic unleashed was a bad game but, this is one of the best story you can found in a video game.
My point is, if they create the genesis, they have a good reason. The story was to complicate for the new readers (Like me and, It was more difficult for me because my first langage is french) and the story have soooooooooooo many characters. Do you want the entire list ? I have to say no because i don’t have the time to write all of them and i don’t want to put the rest of my life on it XD
Okay, Archie Sonic comics books are so amazing and, they have a good story (Not like Mario Bros. Universe XD) but, je veux revoir ces personnages en vie !!!
