New stories are abound in April/May’s comic offering, and it’s sure to make a splash!
Thanks to Den of Geek!, we know that Sonic the Hedgehog #260 begins a new story which looks to be somewhat based on the events of Sonic Unleashed. As he deals with the now shattered planet, dark monsters have started to come out to play too! This starts off the search for the Chaos Emeralds anew, and it’s not going to be an easy one, especially when it requires a dive under the ocean and a scrap against Eggman’s latest scheme! This is “Waves of Change”: Part 1.

But where the heck is Mighty? He’s the only member of the Chaotix that I actually like aside from Espio. Don’t tell me we’re gonna have to start asking that for the comics too because of the universe reboot.

Could care less about Mighty and Ray. Vector and Charmy are my favorites. And Espio is well liked by me too of course.
Just love that image of Charmy with a bubble pipe. This should mean he’s actually 6-years-old and not brain-damaged anymore.

Here’s my theory: It might just be the Sonic Unleashed it could’ve been, with Knuckles playable at night instead of Sonic the Werehog. But the only problem with working Knuckles into the story is the fact that he not only guards the Master Emerald, and would guard it from Rouge, but als that he’s more gullible! So in the finalized product, Sonic the Werehog was made playable.
About time Chip showed up into the comics. I’ve been wanting that to happen since I first played Sonic Unleashed. Also, it’s great to see Nack/Fang returning with Bean and Bark. Another Chaotix story is awesome as well, since Vector is the man!
