Merry Christmas! SEGA Soundtracks Finally Available on iTunes Canada and Australia!

My fellow Canadians, and to my good Australian friends… the dark days are over.

CHRISTMAS IS FREAKING REAL.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg!

I am pleased and downright tearful to announce that SEGA soundtracks have finally expanded their presence to other iTunes territories! While the US, most European nations, and Japan have gotten each digital soundtrack release as they came, many of us were forced to sit idly by as more and more OSTs just went on by and missed us. As of now, those days have finally come to an end!

Confirmed as of now for Canada and Australia, most – if not all – of SEGA’s expansive repertoire on iTunes can now be purchased! In the mood for Sonic Rush sounds? You can finally get what u need! If you think you’re dreaming (and I don’t blame you), try looking up both NiGHTS into Dreams and NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams – they’re on there! Still can’t understand this concept? Then turn your attention to the tunes of Jet Set Radio and see for yourself!

A complete list of available SEGA OSTs are up after the jump!

    1. Sega actually put a fair amount of the OST’s on Amazon’s mp3 store, so I’d check there. There’s also still more to come I think.

    2. What *about* you? iTunes converts audio files to virtually every popular file type – WAV, MP3, etc – right in the program.

  1. Haha I saw this a few days ago when I went to ‘crush40.net’ and clicked on a link. I expected it to tell me that ‘This item is not available on the Australian stores.’….but then it didn’t. AND I FREAKED THE HELL OUT!! No more contemplating illegal downloading, FINALLY I can put my iTunes gift vouchers to good use!!! 😀 Thank you Sega!
The only thing I’d like more is for Crush 40’s non-Sonic music to be available (Rise Again EP, Song of Hope etc.). They sure deserve the money and popularity for their amazing work!

  2. I got an I Pad today, and a I tunes gift card, i hope its engough to get some of these tracks. But if i cant i can always get Sonic Jump :3

  3. It actually took a long time for all of these to come out here in the U.S. The storybook series, Sonic 06, NiGHTS, Unleashed, and Generations soundtracks were all posted in November, I think. And I didn’t even know that Shadow the Hedgehog was on there until I read this post (it doesn’t appear when you search for “Sega”).

iTunes is still missing the vocal albums for each of the respective games, as well as History of Sonic, True Blue, and True Colors. But yes, all of the WaveMaster OSTs are on there now. 😀

  4. Nice to know that the albums are finally turning up in other territories, too 😀 I’ve been watching the catalogue grow over the past year on iTunes in the EU, waiting for just one to show up: Vivid Sound x Hybrid Colours. I was starting to give up hoping it would come when, at last, it turned up earlier this month while I was browsing the EU store: all three volumes!

  5. Before anyone buys these soundtracks, I would be careful, some of them aren’t complete.

For example, the original Sonic Unleashed Official Soundtrack consisted of 3 discs with a total 91 tracks, while the iTunes version consists of 3 Volumes with 15 tracks on each, totaling 45. Sorry SEGA, but I’m NOT buying this crap.

  6. Can someone explain me how is the sonic cd opening fmv theme with the lyrics avaible to purchase but they couldnt put in on the sonic cd rerelease on psn/xbla? I though Sega lost the rights to the music….

  7. No “Burnning Rangers”? Maybe next time. Maybe they’ll release the ASRT soundtrack soon…
