Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Coming to iOS in 2013

Pocket Gamer has revealed that Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is coming to iPhone and iPad, however, Sumo Digital’s Gareth Williams says it won’t arrive until “after Christmas”, likely meaning a 2013 release. Pricing is still up in the air, with the developer in discussions on whether to charge a small amount or even give the game away free and let people buy the characters they want.

“Do we sell it for two or three dollars, and have a few little in-app purchases?” Williams says. “But maybe we should give it away for free and allow people to buy characters.”

  1. Please please please don’t make it free i hate games that require you to purchase heaps of in game items.

  2. I have really unpopular (but good) Nokia Lumia with Windows Phone. I wonder if someday something interesting will come up to this system (i mean games) 😀

  3. With how many characters I’m sure would probably make it into the iOS version (at least, when you take into account how many will be going into the main versions of the game), I can see the price skyrocket when it comes to buying the other characters, even if they’re each priced at the norm of $0.99.

I would prefer putting one solid price on the game ($6-7? Probably more…) and getting all the characters and content within. The two-three dollar idea might work well too, depending on how much they plan on putting for sale and how much they’ll cost.
