Sonic Generations OST Releases in Japan

Earlier today, Sega music label Wave Master released the Sonic Generations Original Soundtrack: Blue Blur in Japan.

The soundtrack features music from both versions of the game and spans three discs. Like most soundtracks in Japan, however, it doesn’t come cheap, with an RRP of ¥4200 (about £35).

It’s available for import from CDJapan, Play-Asia and YesAsia. Tracklist after the jump.

  1. Yup. Had this on pre-order for a while. You also get some sonic stickers with it and a Generations statue room code.

    1. I don’t think a logo is enough to make a post. I don’t even think a logo is worth making a post. What are they going to say?

“Here’s the Episode 2 logo. Enjoy!”

No. It just wouldn’t work. Besides, we will see that logo in the next trailer.

      1. its still news.
it doesn’t matter to me if there’s not much content to a post.
i would rather see the logo than not.

  2. If previous OSTs are of any indication, I highly doubt the possibility of a Canadian iTunes release.

In any case, to everyone who’s wondering about the extra/unlockable tracks in the game, they’re on the 20th Annuversary History Of album… I forgot the exact name, but it was on the last album. The unlockable tracks you get here seem to be Stardust Speedway US and Super Sonic Racing.

To be honest though, I am kinda sad there wasn’t a complete version of the End Medley. XD

And about the Sonic 4: Episode 2 logo, just wait a bit guys. ._.” Geez.

    1. You should really send that to news.sonicstadium.org – I don’t know if I did the link right.

I don’t think Shadzter and rest have time to read comments.

      1. Whoops, I did the link wrong (I’m on moblie btw), but just click on the emerald (at the top) that says “Contact. After that I think there it gives you a list of people to contact. There should be a blue link that says news@sonicstadium.org

  3. Based on the track listings, Cash Cash makes great remixes (Radical Highway Act 1, City Escape Act 1, etc.), and Circuit Freq makes horrible remixes (Radical Highway Act 2, Shadow Rival Boss).

    1. I actually enjoyed Circuit Freq’s remixes. Altough they didn’t quite fit Modern Sonic’s stages, they were fine.

      1. I don’t know why, but I just didn’t like Radical Highway in Generations. Music was meh, compared to the original. And the stage itself was kind of meh to me, compared to the other stages.

  4. I hope it gets a digital release in the US, like Colors did. I’d really like to hear some of that 3DS version’s music with decent quality.

  5. What game is the Collection Room song from? I heard it in an online fan game and now it’s buggin me that I don’t know what real game it came from.

  6. WHY YOU MUST BE SO EXPENSIVE!!!!! Eh….. SG soundtrack is amazing but still nothing beats Unleashed Soundtrack. :p

    1. Or how about…oh, I don’t know…just about every Sonic game! Haha, seriously, this is the only video game series, in which there is a soundtrack I do not like. They are all amazing!

        1. True. In fact, the admittingly BAD remixes of classic Sonic tunes (many of which I did not recognize until it was pointed out to me) might be the big reason why SEGA hasn’t given BioWare the green light for a sequel (plus the whole EA thing). The battle themes in that game were solid, however.

        2. Okay yeah, that’s really the only Sonic game in which I didn’t like it’s soundtrack. Though the opening music, and a few battle themes were good.

  7. I feel like a traitor to Sonic for downloading the soundtrack from Ashram at Sonic Retro XD
Don’t look at me, I have no ways to buy it where I am D:

Anyway, the music is really hi-quality. Especially the 3DS tracks.

But I feel that… Dunno, the soundtracks for Sonic Colours and Sonic Unleashed were better.

Still, I’m not saying this soundtrack sucks, it’s pretty good and SEGA should receive a slowclap for the soundtrack of the games.

  8. Just want to put out there that Cash Cash are wonderful musicians, composers too.
    Regardless of their singing abilities.
