Two people considered to be celebrities in the NiGHTS community are now ready to wow you once again. DiGi and TRiPPY of nightsintodreams.com recently scored an interview with Sonic and NiGHTS into Dreams creator Yuji Naka, which has been published on their site today. This interview proves to be very significant among NiGHTS fans, as Mr. Naka reveals the truth behind quite a few rumours regarding development, concepts and characters that have been circulating the internet for years. Also, of note is some interesting info about inspiration behind the game’s setting, a second platform, a special guest demo tester (you’ll never guess who it is) and support for DiGi and TRiPPY’s latest campaign. It’s a great read and I won’t spoil it for you here. Head on over to nightsintodreams.com to read it.
If you haven’t already taken part in DiGi and TRiPPY’s latest campaign (which is currently at 1,724 votes), you can sign the petition to get a digital NiGHTS into Dreams port on current console services (such as PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and WiiWare) at nid15.com. You just have to click the ‘Fans’ button. Simple!
Thanks to Indigo Rush via SSMB pm and TRiPPY via e-mail for the heads up!
Good interview and a great coup getting Naka-san! Well done!! 😀
Great interview, and hats off for getting it in the first place.
I just saw Cirque Du Soleil’s ‘Mystere’ in Las Vegas back in december! Know wonder the show reminded me so much of NiGHTS, It was absolutley amazing!
I am all for Nights on the Wiiware, sign me up!
Hey hey! Thanks greatly for posting this! 😀
@Dakota so it’s still running then? Cool! Looks like me and TRiP will have to plan a trip to Vegas. How much were tickets for the show, by the way?
@ DiGi:
You’re welcome! Congrats on the interview! 😀
@DiGi
The tickets at the time were about $75 a piece, but they’re always ranging determining what time of the year you go see it. I have no idea how much they are right now.
@DiGi
p.s. btw the show I saw was called “Mystere (Live)” so It could be a different version compared to the Mystere back in the 90’s
All I know is that I have the soundtracks from both the ’90s show and from the 2009 show, and they both pretty much have the same songs just with better recording.
A Possibility of getting both NIGHTS and SA1 on PSN?
HELL YES!
very insightful interview. It kinda makes me wanna play NiGHTS myself. If only I could find myself a copy. 🙁
Wow, this interview is spreading around like wildfire!
Yeah, I had no idea about that PC port and Steven Spielberg being the first to play NiGHTS! Crazy awesome stuff.
Oh great! Now I hope people will finally accept that Reala did NOT say “There is no NiGHTS”.
