Hey guys, hope you enjoyed our little April Fools gag there. You know us – we’re always game for a laugh on April 1st, and this year was no exception. Instead of tricking you all with some round-the-gardens thing again, we decided to let one of the best characters in the Sonic universe take centre stage.

BIGNEWS is the premier site dedicated to Big the Cat news. Be sure to give all of those articles a read, as it provides some fascinating insight into the world of the lazy cat we’ve all come to love – or hate.

Don’t worry about losing BIGNEWS either – we’re keeping it in archive well after April Fools’ day is over, so you can enjoy all the hard work Big put into this. It’s probably the most effort he’s put into something, so he hopes you’ll appreciate it to some degree. Or maybe he doesn’t hope that at all – he’s likely just snoozing in the Mystic Ruins again. Whatever.

  5. Heh heh, unlike April 1st of 2004, back on the probably gone Sonic World site, instead of going balistic, I was expecting this. XD And I found it amusing. Course, I should have known it’d be a day early for me, seeing as I live in the USA, while this site is based in the UK. Still, good one Dread, nice way to show off your love for Big The Cat. But yeah, as soon as I saw it, I went, “Huh, nice, must be TSS’ April Fools Day joke.” Then I wanted to see the real TSS, and was going, “Okay, if I can’t get to the normal TSS, this is going to get real old, real fast.” Then I found the one link saying “…TSS?” Nice, makes this a very kind April Fools too, once you’ve seen the joke, when you get tired of it, there’s a rather obvious way out. Let’s see what you guys can pull for next year. XD

  18. Big can’t take the credit for the fake Sonic 4 songs. 🙂 B’man edited the story and added the new link in himself. Big wrote that story a couple of days ago, you see, when the link was still fresh, and he had forgotten this morning that Sega had removed them.

  20. Perhaps Big the Cat should be offered a permanent spot on the TSS team.
    I would love to read his upcoming editorial on why it’s not good to talk to fish underwater.

    Yes. Actually recent scientific studies have shown that Lady Ga(y)Ga(y) does in fact suck.
    And you haven’t seen Topeka today?

    This is seriously the best April Fools prank since the dead fairy prank.
