Has the Xbox 360 demo of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing been kicking your ass? Well, apparently, the default difficulty settings on the demo are set to “Advanced.” If you’re getting rocked hard, then you should go and change the settings, according to ArchangelUK at the Sonic City Blognik:
Hey guys, if you find you’re struggling to achieve victory on the demo there might be a reason for it. Apparently the 360 demo has gone out with the settings set on Advanced, no idea why but apparently you might find that is the case.
So if you’ve been blindsided by a KO Boxing Glove on the final bend and are feeling a bit irked, nip into the Game Settings and set it to Basic.
AAUK also addressed the desire for a demo on other platforms, which is a definite possibility. With other demos comes the removal of Banjo-Kazooie, but another character would be taking their place on the other platforms:
Naturally the question I’ve been asked the most is “Is there going to be a PS3 demo coming out?” well as I said in the blog yesterday there will be more opportunities to play test the game coming. *HINT**HINT*
Oh and no, other platform demos wouldn’t just have Sonic playable there would be a second character .
The Xbox 360 demo of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing will be made available to Silver Xbox Live members next week. Currently, it is only available for gold.

yes i prefer anyone over banjo.
It’s not too hard.. sometimes I come 4th, other times 2nd, a couple of times 1st, I think its perfect… the short cut jump over the water needs work thou.. it backfires more than it works
Billy sure does win a lot
Anyone ever notice, Banjo looks very similar to Crash Bandicoot?
PC Demo please? D:
I know that this may be a dumb question, but how do you change the difficulty if the options or game settings menu in the demo is locked?
It was a bit tough at first but in all honesty I prefer the difficulty over Mario Karts easy-as-pie AI
I’m looking forward to the real thang more after the demo personally
@bmhedgehog- when the stage selection pops up, instead of selecting the stage, press the y button and it’ll bring up a menu with the options- difficulty, laps and some other option
More importantly. Can you turn the narrator off in the final version of the game? He has some sort of obsession with Ryo…
Anyways, If I knew this would be a news story I would of told you all… because after getting my arse handed to me once I knew something was wrong and found out about the difficulty.
this game has still already taken sonic riders title of ‘my favorite racing game even though banjo and kazooie are in it, and I don’t like their games’
@ Jix Hedgehog
Billy wins in your game? Ryo always wins in mine.
I’m actually really good at this game.
Seriously, I can consistently come in first place on Expert.
@ edge
lol Knuckles always wins in mine.
I found this out on my own,but actually i got to advanced quickly.
Once you master the power slide boost it gets REALLY fun!!!
Glad to hear that SEGA has announced this to everyone in hopes of clearing things up, i personally like a game to be challenging so i wont put it on basic.
I look forward to a demo been released for the PC version.
Really? I wasn’t aware of that. I haven’t even finished the demo yet, but it doesn’t seem that hard at the moment. Oh well. At least they didn’t leave out Banjo & Kazooie for the demo! Awesomeness!
I thought the difficulty was pretty average.
I found that, with constant practice, I was able to make it to the finish first.
Drifting boost is the key.
Wait wait wait, people actually thought the demo was HARD???
God… why are gamers these days such teat-suckling weaklings?
@ Angel C : Yep, looks like Drifting is the key.
Anyone find a count-down turbo start?
That demo was not hard. It’s actually more fun in advanced mode.
I like the demo. And its helping me prepare for the real thing.
@PsychoJosh: lol You just find ways to get around, don’t you? Can’t go on the Sega Forums, but you go here?
The demo isn’t that hard. For some, such as myself, it just takes a while to get used to the controls. I actually got in 1st on my first try, though.
5 bucks says the PS3 demo gets Ryo for shits and giggles.
After a few attempts, I managed to start coming first most of the time. Sure, bad luck sometimes kicked my ass on the last few turns, but overall, I had fun and enjoyed the challenge. I look forward to the full game. 😀
@ edge: @ least the announcer isn’t as annoying as the announcer chic from Sonic Riders.
